Sharing Childhood Favourites With My Daughter

*Features press samples

When I was pregnant with Willow there was a running theme in soft toys and nursery decor we were looking at getting her; a lot of it was themed around one of my own childhood favourite, Winnie-the-Pooh. It's something I find incredibly lovely as a parent when you are able to share things with your child that you grew up around and loved.

It's been 92 years since A. A. Milne first shared the world of Winnie-the-Pooh and all the characters of Hundred Acre Wood are still hugely popular today, I love that Willow has the chance to fall in love with characters and stories which give me such fond memories of my own childhood.

A review of Posh Paws Snuggletime Winnie-the-Pooh Plush Toys
Plush toys are fab for little ones, I was definitely a big fan of soft toys when I was little and Willow seems to adore them just as much as me. It's fascinating watching her when her imagination is running wild and she's set up all of her favourite cuddly toys, making them talk to each other and acting out her own magical stories.

For me, soft toys are so much more special than any plastic or wood alternative, not just for the fact a soft toy can often last a lifetime, compared to other toys which can break or fall apart. You can play with them, you can cuddle them and if you're anything like Willow you can take them to bed with you and tuck them in - because plush toys aren't just toys, they become friends, your little buddies who are with you whenever you need them.

The Snuggletime Winnie-the-Pooh Collection* from Posh Paws features soft, cuddly Winnie-the-Pooh characters as plush toys, each available in three different sizes; small (20cm), medium (12") and large (20"). We actually bought Willow a set of Winnie-the-Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet soft plush toys - also from the Snuggletime Collection - when we were still pregnant and eagerly awaiting her arrival, which she adores playing with. Her new medium-sized Winnie-the-Pooh and Eeyore plushes from the Snuggletime collection have fitted in perfectly and it's safe to say, Willow is smitten!

They're incredibly soft, they're not too heavy for their size which is great for little ones as they can easily be played with and moved around independently. The collection uses beautifully soft hues in contrast to the vibrant and often darker shades you'll be used to from the Winnie-the-Pooh books and movies, whilst still remaining very much true to the characters and all their little details.

You can purchase the Snuggletime Winnie-the-Pooh collection from a variety of online retailers, with the small plush collection available from Smyths Toys (RRP £6.99), the medium-sized characters available from Argos (RRP £12.99) and the larger ones from available from QVC (RRP £25).

Is your little one into Winnie-the-Pooh too?
