Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner Review

*Features press samples.

I do love a good Urban Decay collection and the new additions to the Heavy Metal range is right up my street. Featuring bold shades and pops of colour, and a lot of glitters, the Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner range is just what I've been looking for, to mix things up from my usual black or brown liner habit.

The Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner range features 13 shades, including subtle shimmers, silvers and light pinks, to bold purples and deep cranberry shades, vivid blues and soft golds. I've been trying out five of the six new shades to join this line, which includes;  Punk Rock, Gamma Ray, Catcall, Grind and Pyro.

Gamma Ray is a bright purple with silver glitter, Punk Rock is a red-toned brown with iridescent glitter, Grind is a light pink with iridescent glitter, Catcall is a pinkish red with pink glitter and Pyro is clear with white and silver glitter.

The formula of these glitter-filled liquid liners is actually very dreamy; I often find glitter liners can be quite watery in consistency, but these have a great formula that is easy to apply, with a decent coverage of both colour and glitter with each application and dries almost instantaneously for long-lasting wear. It doesn't smudge or budge throughout the day, so you don't need to worry about any glitter fallout, and they are also pretty easy to remove with a decent bi-phase eye makeup remover.

As high-end eyeliners go, they're not too badly priced at £15 for 7.5ml product. Although I wouldn't wear a glitter liner every day, they are fab for this time of year as we head into the festive season and have lots of fun events and celebrations coming up around Christmas and New Year.
