Inika Peachy Keen Mineral Blush Review

13 June

When it comes to cruelty-free beauty brands, INIKA is up there at the top for me. Their products have impressed me for years and I'm a big fan of the INIKA Mineral Foundation Powder, INIKA Liquid Mineral Foundation and the gorgeous INIKA Mineral Eyeshadow range. I've recently started using the INIKA Mineral Blush in Peachy Keen, and I'm just as impressed as I have been with other products from the range.

The Mineral Blush range is quite modest, with just three shades in the range; Peachy Keen, Red Apple and Blooming Nude. Peachy Keen is the kind of shade that just fits so perfectly with a spring or summer look. It's a lovely bright coral with a peachy undertone and the very slightest hint of gold, it's absolutely beautiful to be quite honest. Not one I'd wear in the colder months, but spot on for warmer days and summertime looks.

The INIKA Mineral Blushes have a super fine soft powder, completely cruelty-free, vegan-friendly, and even certified Halal, using no unnecessary filler ingredients or chemicals, free of oil, alcohol, talc, fragrances, preservatives and dyes. Each pot is 3g in size which will last you absolutely ages, especially as the smallest amount gives you a lovely touch of colour. Although quite a bright coral, the formulation allows you to apply to your desired intensity, so whilst you can go for a really bright pop of colour, you can also apply with a lighter hand for a more subtle look.

Personally, I find it easiest to apply with my Real Techniques Blush Brush, which you can read a more detailed review of in my Real Techniques Brushes Review. I can pick up just the right amount of product and apply it with a light handed technique, which for me works best for loose mineral powders like this. If you use the right technique, it's easy to apply and also blends well with little work. I'm just so smitten with the colour, it makes a lovely change from the more neutral or pink toned blushes I usually go for!
