Brands That Blogging Introduced Me To

A picture of LORAC Pro Palette

Whether you read blogs or also write one yourself, one of the things you will soon pick up is a hefty list of brands and products you want to try for yourself. For me beauty blogs are invaluable, because instead of just seeing an advertisement on the television telling me I need a product, beauty blogs offer details reviews from people who have actually taken the time to try those products out for themselves. You can find out whether a product might work for you based on reviews from people with the same complexion, skin-type and needs as you. The majority of brands and products in my beauty stash have been picked up based on reviews from other bloggers, an endless list of brands that blogging has introduced me to.

Make Up Revolution
This brand is the friendliest I have come across and by far the most interactive! They have taken the world by storm, constantly releasing new products at amazing prices. I have quite a large amount of their products and some of my favourite things are their palettes, liquid lipsticks and their powder! Scrap that...I love it all!

Urban Decay

The first high end product I ever tried was by Urban Decay and it was their Naked Basics Palette (£23). Still to this day I love it. I have moved on to falling in love with their Perversion Mascara (£17.50) too. One thing I love about Urban Decay is that they have so much choice in shades and colours of things. I hate nothing more than there not being any variety when I'm browsing.

Physicians Formula

Quite difficult to get your hands on in the UK and when I went to New York I knew that I needed to get my hands on something after being told how gorgeous their packaging is. Oh, how that is true! I really didn't need a new concealer but the packaging! I fell in love, it's everything a blogger will swoon over. Rose gold with a cute little bow, how could you say no to that?

Tarte

I've only known about Tarte since this year. I'm a total newbie to their brand and after I heard so much about their products I decided it was time I bagged myself a product. I love the whole Amazonian Clay formula that Tarte uses!

Illamasqua

I love Illamasqua's minimal packaging with their sleek black look to them. I fell in love with the brand after being recommended their Cream Pigment (£22) in the shade Hollow. I needed a new contour product and I really wanted to try a cream one, I'm so glad that I did!

Anastasia Beverly Hills

I jumped on the hype of Anastasia Beverly Hills when everyone was going nuts for the Pro Series Contour Cream Kit (£39). I took the plunge and bought that along with the Dip Brow Pomade (£15). I absolutely love those products and I already have more added onto my wishlist!

MAC

I'd heard of Mac before I started blogging but as nobody in my house had it, or my friends, I had the impression MAC was just for professionals! Since getting my first lipstick, Myth (£15.50), I've been addicted ever since. I have a collection of their face and lip products and I love each and every one!

Origins

I over-looked skin care in my teens and really wasn't all that interested in it. However when I started my blog I noticed the amount of blogs Origins products would appear on and decided that I just had to get my hands on some. I have the Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask (100ml, £23) and I love it!

ZOEVA

Brushes were non-existent to me in my teens I'd use those super cheap sponges or I would just use my fingers. When I learnt about brushes I started out with Real Techniques but upped my game a tad when I decided to purchase the ZOEVA Rose Gold Brush Set (£55 - £100) and I have never looked back.

LORAC

I'm so glad I picked up the Lorac Pro Palette it's probably my favourite product of all time. I had no idea about Lorac before I had my blog! It's a pain to get hold of in the UK, I got mine from New York, it was the only thing I had on my wishlist when I went!

Hourglass

Hourglass are famous for their Ambient Lighting Blushes (£28) and Ambient Lighting Powder (£38), with their beautiful marbled design and the chic mirrored compact packaging, it's the perfect product to make your make up stash look a whole lot prettier.

These are all brands that I have found through blogging. What brands are you familiar with because of blogging?
