This Month's Favourites | November 2015

25 Nov 2015

OK who else is slightly alarmed by how quickly November flew by? I can't believe December is just a few days away and then it's officially the countdown to Christmas. Excitement overload! There's a few old favourites cropping up in this month's favourites as well as a couple of new products I've been indulging in. Overall I'm pretty smitten with this month's picks and all are products which I have really struggled to put down.

I featured the Mama Mio The Tummy Rub Oil in a recent post on pregnancy body care, Mama Mio for pregnancy skin. I've been applying this oil morning and night, mostly to my tummy but sometimes to my bum and hips as well, and I really like the way it keeps my skin feeling soft and soothed. It's slightly thicker in consistency to my previous pregnancy oil, the Weleda Stretch Mark Massage Oil, which admittedly I did prefer to this one for the long-term benefits it gave my skin, but at this late stage in my pregnancy where my skin is feeling itchier and tighter by the day, the consistency and formula of this Mama Mio offering has been perfect. I'm really impressed with the products from the range that I've tried so far, so make sure you give my post a read if you're also an expectant mother!

The Moroccan Oil Hydrating Styling Cream has been a favourite of mine for over 3 years now, which is a very long time for me to stay loyal to a particular hair care product. The first bottle I had lasted a good 2.5 years, and I've recently started a new one. There are just so many things I love about this from the way it leaves my hair feeling softer and stronger, to the lovely scent it has that has become almost an addiction, but mostly for how long it lasts; at £23.75 for 300ml it's not the cheapest, but it lasts so long that honestly? It really is worth investing in. You can check out my original review in my post introducing Moroccan Oil.

There's a couple of makeup products which have really stood out for me throughout November. Cheeks have been effortlessly covered with a natural looking contour from the Bagsy Ray of Sunshine Perfect Glow Bronzing Powder, which has been a big hit with tons of beauty bloggers this year. First featured back in August in my post on why Bagsy Beauty is a must-try brand. It just gives the more natural finish with a shade that's very subtle but can be easily built up for a more intense contour. I find it lovely as an all-over glow giver too, when applied lightly with a large fluffy brush.

My go-to lipstick through November has been the unbelievably beautiful Charlotte Tilbury Stoned Rose K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick which has been my first try of a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick, leaving me more than a little bit smitten. You can check out my full review in my recent post on The Golden Goddess which covers all the Charlotte Tilbury products you need to recreate the classic look, but let's just say this is one lipstick that is definitely worth the splurge!

My lips always suffer in the winter and a luxuriously thick and delicious balm I've been turning to throughout November to keep them soft, hydrated and crack-free is the wonderful Melvita 3 Honey's Balm. An award-winning lip balm, it's an ultra-repairing balm which can be used for quite the variety of beauty needs; a lip balm (which is how I use it), on dry skin such as elbows, hands and cuticles, soothing skin irritations, reducing redness and repairing and nourishing dry, damaged skin. As you can imagine it has the most delicious honey scent, and is my current go-to lip saviour.

Last but not least and the scent I simply cannot get enough of recently, Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau de Parfum. The perfect autumnal evening scent it teams top notes of Coffee and Pink Pepper with scent heart notes of Orange Blossom, Jasmine and Vanilla, finished off perfectly with musky base notes of Patchouli and Cedar. Recently featured in my autumn scent library, this has been my absolute favourite scent to reach for over recent weeks.
