The Empties #4

8 Jun 2015

A picture of lots of beauty products
It's been quite a while since I last shared an empties post and in that time my empties box got very, very full. I've a few empties post coming your way over the next few weeks, all with quite a lot of products in each one - so these reviews are going to be short and sweet, recapping products I've reviewed before, sharing thoughts on products which were new to me. Let's get stuck in shall we?

Bamford Geranium Hand and Body Wash - 250ml, £22
One of the products featured inside the limited edition Tatler Birchbox, this was a lovely skin-loving body wash with a stunning scent of Aloe Vera, Geranium, Lavender and Peppermint Oils. Lathered up really well, left skin cleansed and the scent lingered well throughout the day. I love scents like this, so I would definitely consider repurchasing in the future. Full review here.

SkinLikes Natural Deodorant - 3 X 70ml roll-ons, £10.90
I've featured this in quite a few posts on Tattooed Tealady as well as my Favourite Body Care of 2015 - a product introduced to me through TheVeganKind. I absolutely adore this deodorant and I would never use anything else. It's super kind to skin, it does exactly what it says and what you'd expect from a deodorant, and has a really lovely refreshing scent to boot.

A limited edition range from The Body Shop (with products still currently available for those who haven't tried it yet), I loved the beautiful scent of Smoky Poppy. It's no secret I adore body butters from The Body Shop and this was no different - it left my skin soft and hydrated. Full review here.

From the same range as the body butter, the Shower Gel was lovely to use especially when teamed with the body butter. It had the same lovely scent, lathered well and worked well to leave my skin cleansed. It also lasted absolutely ages, which is great for the price! Full review here.

One of the most popular products from REN, I've used and adored this mask for years now. I recently finished up a little sample size which came in a beauty box, easily getting 4 uses out of it! This mask is perfect if you want to give your skin a boost of radiance, whilst effortlessly tackling congested skin. Full review here.

Antonia Burrell Forest Dew Skin Conditioner - 50ml £25.50, 100ml £35.50, 200ml £55.40
A toner I used morning and night, this is so, so lovely for keeping skin looking and feeling happier, revived and refreshed. It worked wonderfully to hydrate my skin leaving it feeling softer to the touch, whilst taming redness and leaving my skin overall much, much calmer. Full review here.

I love the fact that Ruth Crilly has brought out a range of dry shampoos, not only because it's the first range of dry shampoos that I have been able to use without it showing up as a white powder on my naturally black hair. I love the floral scent of Paris and found it worked really well - I was just a little let down by how many uses I got out of the 50ml size, which wasn't much at all! I wouldn't repurchase a small size, but would consider investing in the bigger size.

Gosh this stuff lasts forever! I have never had a micellar water last as long as this one, and I've had the supersize Bioderma bottles before! For me this is just as good as Bioderma and is a great budget-friendly option that's easily available on the high-street. Would 100% repurchase in the future! Full review here.

Beauty Protector is a brand that features in Birchbox boxes every now and then and I have to admit, I am always over the moon when I find one of their products inside a Birchbox! I just really, really love this brand and this mask was no different. I got 5 uses out of this little sample pot and would 100% buy the full size; it left my hair smelling absolutely amazing, beautifully soft, deeply nourished and pampered. Fantastic mask!

For the past 6 months or so I have changed my approach to skincare. I would constantly change products in my routine for the benefit of reviewing new products for the blog - although my skin never badly reacted to changing products on a constant basis, I'm closer to 30 now and want to take as much care of my skin as possible. So, I decided I would get a set routine for both morning and night, and stick to it. No changing products, no adding new unnecessary products in. Each season a dedicated set of products for my skin type and skin needs/concerns. For that reason, the Rosa Rosa Daily Moisturiser was the only morning moisturiser I used for a good few months - we're talking 3-4 months here, and it was wonderful. My skin adored this moisturiser (in fact, it adores the entire Rosa Rosa range!) and it felt oh-so-very satisfying to finish it completely, knowing my skin had had months of the benefits of this one specific moisturiser.
