The camouflaging magic of Benefit Erase Paste

30 Apr 2015

A picture of Benefit Erase Paste
Benefit Erase Paste is a product I've mentioned very briefly in a mini review a good couple of years ago now, but I decided it was about time I gave this purple pot of brightening camouflage center stage on Tattooed Tealady, because it's a product I use most days.

Introducing La Montana Candles

29 Apr 2015

It's no secret I adore candles - I light at least one candle every single day -, but it's not very often I come across a brand whose scents are so powerful, beautiful and utterly mesmerising. It is my absolute pleasure to introduce La Montana to the blog!

Spring Perfect Scents

28 Apr 2015

A picture of The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Mist, Jo Malone Wild Bluebell, L'Occitane Magnolia & Mure, Diptyque Philosykos and Marc Jacobs Oh Lola!
Now that spring is in full swing I've changed up my fragrances and scents, putting away the deeper, warmer and muskier scents I turn to in winter, swapping them for the lighter, refreshing, sweet and floral scents I love in spring.

Invisibobble Traceless Hair Ring

23 Apr 2015

A picture of Invisibobble Traceless Hair Ring
I have seen a lot of people talk about Invisibobble, a product I would gravitate towards whenever in Boots but never quite taking the plunge to purchase. Hair accessories are always being released, with quirky names and designs, new 'innovative' ideas and styles, promising to give you this, that and the other. Hair is one aspect of our bodies that everyone is always trying to perfect, and it's a big market for brands to attract customers in.

5 Facial Oils for Oily Skin

A picture of Bodhi & Birch Neroli Luce Revitalising Face Oil, Nude ProGenius Omega Treatment Oil, Balance Me Rose Otto Face Oil, Antipodes Divine Face Oil and Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate
After sharing my top four serums for oily skin back in February, I decided it was about time to share my favourite facial oils which work in harmony with oily skin, too. I'm a big, big fan of facial oils, but it wasn't always this way. As someone whose main skin woe is battling oiliness, I used to steer away from facial oils completely, convinced that they would do nothing but exacerbate my skin type. Little did I know that one of the most beneficial things I could do was add a facial oil into my skincare routine! I've been using facial oils religiously for two years now, and they are one of my favourite skincare products to use without a shadow of a doubt.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush, worth the splurge?

20 Apr 2015

A picture of Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Diffused Heat and Dim Infusion
I haven't tried much from Hourglass but when news hit the beauty scene of the new Ambient Lighting Blush range I was like a woman possessed. I am a sucker for beautifully designed and packaged products, and these blushes definitely fall into that category. I ended up pre-ordering two shades, without even seeing them in person or giving them a swatch. Was that a mistake?

Free Burberry Lipstick

17 Apr 2015

A picture of a Free Burberry Lipstick
One thing I have always said about high-end brands, is that they really don't do offers enough. Whether that be discounts for 10% off of their products, or an actual beauty sale where their products are drastically reduced in price. There's only one brand that comes to mind when it comes to high-end beauty sales, and that's Illamasqua. As for discounted products, unless they're a brand featured in Debenhams, House of Fraser or John Lewis when they're competing against each other in 'price wars' (and even then, some of the more premium brands are never included in the offer), you better keep dreaming of those high-end discounts. So when the opportunity came about for a completely free no strings attached Burberry lipstick? I can't lie, I jumped at the chance!

Smashbox Step by Step Contour Kit

A picture of Smashbox Step by Step Contour Kit
Over the past few months I've found myself completely obsessed with contouring products. As a chubby faced girl, contouring is something I've been trying to master for years, in the hopes that I'll be able to fake a slimmer face. Contouring in general seems to have really taken off on the beauty scene over recent years, with everyone giving it a try for themselves. This is great - because it means more and more brands are bringing out specific products and kits to make contouring easier and quicker!

Chanel lipsticks, worth the splurge?

Chanel is a brand I am always lusting after. I don't own many Chanel products, a brand I indulge in very rarely as a treat buy, but the products I do have are products I absolutely adore.

Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Review

6 Apr 2015

A picture of Urban Decay Naked Basics 2
When it comes to eyeshadow palettes, few brands do them as well as Urban Decay. Urban Decay was the first brand to get me into palettes, a fantastic way to try a variety of shades in one compact format. For me eyeshadow palettes are invaluable; not only do they give you the ability to create a huge variety of looks, but they're far easier to travel with, easier to store and I often find it much easier to team shadows together from the selection in a palette, than trying to work out which of my individual shadows would work well together.

SOAK Yourself Full Moon Bath Ritual Recipe Kit

A picture of SOAK Yourself Full Moon Bath Ritual Recipe Kit
With a beautiful full moon tonight, it seemed like the perfect time to share the SOAK Yourself Full Moon Soak Bath Ritual Recipe Kit. I've always loved the moon - since I was a little girl I've been pretty awed and obsessed by space on a whole, and gazing at the moon on a clear night is something I can get lost in. Whether you believe in the power of the full moon or not, I think everyone has a little bit of superstition in them when it comes to a full moon. SOAK Yourself definitely believe in the power of a full moon.

Another book haul

A picture of books
I am finding it almost impossible to resist buying new books this year. Late at night when I'm procrastinating before sleep, my favourite thing to do is browse books online. Back at the end of 2014 I had a massive clear out of my bookcases in our living room, donating over 100 books to local charity shops. The idea was to make more room, have the bookcases a bit more organised (every last space was rammed with books!) and to make the place overall a little less cluttered. That didn't last long, because over the past few months the amount of books I've ordered has soon filled up all those spaces again!
