My favourite glosses

A picture of Bobbi Brown Lip Glosses
I am a big lover of lip gloss, but I wasn't always. I used to hate lipgloss - sticky, messy, always getting my hair stuck in it and that uncomfortable obvious feel on my lips. Lip gloss is definitely a love it or hate it product, but over the past couple of years I've managed to find some brands and ranges which I have come to really love, with one brand in particular.

Bobbi Brown has been one of my favourite brands for a couple of years now and I am always happy with the products I try, whether permanent additions to the range or part of limited edition collections. My favourite brand by far for bases, the only brand I can get a spot on colour match with, I'm also a big fan of their shadows, mascaras and liners (both gel and pencil), shimmer bricks and lipsticks. Bobbi Brown is also my favourite brand ever for lip gloss!

Bobbi Brown has three ranges for their glosses. There's the standard lip gloss range, the sheer color lip gloss range and the high shimmer lip gloss range. Regardless of range, all Bobbi Brown glosses are £18.50. A little steep for a lip gloss, but the quality and formula make them well worth the price for me!

The high shimmer lip gloss range has a formula which combines light-catching shimmer with a lasting and non-sticky shine. Created with fine pearls and clear pigments, they add a lovely extra something-something and a lovely finishing touch to a favourite lipstick - or even when worn alone to complete your look.

The sheer color lip gloss range provides a sheer wash of colour when worn alone, or works wonderfully teamed with lipstick to add a touch of shine.

The standard lip gloss range has been formulated with lots of skin-loving ingredients, such as soothing botanical extracts of Avocado, Jojoba and Chamomile Oils, alongside Aloe extract. They provide a touch more colour than the sheer range, and can easily be worn alone as well as teamed with lipstick.

All the lip gloss ranges from Bobbi Brown are enriched with emollients and Vitamins C and E, which together work to keep lips moisturised, conditioned and protected. Regardless of range and finish, I find all Bobbi Brown glosses look and feel better than any other brand. The formula always has just the right consistency, with no sticky residue or gooey feel. My hair never sticks to them, and they leave my lips feeling comfortable rather than heavy with product. Love, love, love!

Do you have a favourite brand or range for lip gloss? Are you a lip gloss fan or do you prefer to stick with just lipstick?
