Love your cruelty free, natural beauty brands? Then you need
to check out Le Couvent des Minimes!
Using a long tradition of plant-based care and well-being
recipes, Le Couvent des Minimes has a huge range of natural and unique
products, inspired by the story of Le Couvent des Minimes (which is, by the way, a real place!). I've been trying out two
fragrances from the range, which are not only budget-friendly, but perfect as
everyday go-to scents.
Le Couvent des Minimes Botanical Cologne of the Morning*, 100ml £19, is a very
refreshing scent. With Orange, Lemon, Basil and Cedar alongside crisp notes of
Apple, it’s a lovely mix of fruity and herbal. Inspired by mornings at Le
Couvent des Minimes, with the sounds of bells which ring to start the day, it’s
been one of my favourite scents of late for popping on straight out of the
shower.
Le Couvent des Minimes Botanical Cologne of Love*, 100ml £19, is a fruity and floral
combination with Orange Blossom, Bergamot and Mandarin, Wild Rose, Nasturtium
and Petitgrain. With a slightly more warming scent than that of Cologne of
Morning, each note has been selected to promote feelings of well-being and
serenity.
The size of these fragrances for the price is amazing,
compared to more high-end varieties which can cost three times more (or even more than that!). I really love
the bottles they’re presented in; simple yet effective in keeping Le Couvent
des Minimes at heart. The longevity is the only down-side – these aren't scents
which you can pop on in the morning and at the end of the day, still have a
lingering hint of the scent. I find I have to reapply one or two times
throughout the day to keep the scent going, but that’s also something I don’t
particularly mind and for a budget-friendly price, it’s a compromise I'm happy
to make.
Have you tried anything from Le Couvent des Minimes yet?
What do you think to the sound of their fragrances? I have my eye on some of
the products from their foot-care range next, but if there’s any products
you've tried and think I should give a go, let me know!
