Clarins Opalescence Spring Collection Clarins Opalescence Spring Collection
When it comes to limited edition collections, Clarins always surpass my expectations and produce products that are visually beautiful with incredible quality. The Clarins Opalescence Spring Collection has been inspired by light, luminous and radiant shades which help create the perfect spring-time look. With stunning, stand out packaging and beautiful shades, this collection has left me smitten and eager for spring to arrive.

Clarins lipsticks are some of my favourite for their luxurious, creamy and moisturising formulas which feel heavenly on the lips. The Clarins Joli Rouge Brilliant Perfect Shine Sheer Lipsticks (Escentual, £14.40) offer a light but buildable sheer coverage with a gorgeous shine and a hydrating formula. With a Maxi Lip Complex and smoothing mango butter base, Clarins lipsticks always leave my lips feeling very happy. No drying, no tightness after a few hours wear and fantastic longevity. The Opalescence collection showcases three pink shades, and I've had the pleasure of trying two. 21 Pink Orchid* is a pink with warm toned peachy undertones and a very fine shimmer. 19 Tropical Pink* is lighter, brighter and has a touch of coral. Both are absolutely beautiful and the third shade in the range, 20 Coral Tulip looks just as lovely; a bright coral based pink. Staying on the theme of lips the collection includes two Clarins Gloss Prodige Intense Colour and Shine Lip Glosses (Escentual, £13.60) I've been trying out 11 Coral Tulip* which is a lovely bright coral with tiny shimmer for a touch of sparkle to your spring time look. If clear glosses are more your thing, there's also 12 Crystal which is a clear gloss that'd make the perfect finishing touch. I actually have a few Clarins lip glosses and really love them, some of my favourites.

The star of the collection is easily the Clarins Opalescence Face & Blush Powder (Escentual, £24) which is beautifully presented with gorgeous embossing on the product and a stunning design. The packaging for this one really took my breath away because unlike the rest of the collection which is in the predominately gold signature packaging, the lid casing of the Opalescence powder* has a beautiful opalescent top that catches the light and really portrays the inspiration for the collection. A powder which can be used for both a setting powder or a blush, for me this has been the perfect finishing powder lightly swept over my face to set my makeup and create a radiant finish. Keep with the bases and we have a new favourite of mine, the Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base (Escentual, £20.80) which is presented in a squeeze-tube with a pump applicator. One pump is more than enough and I adore popping this in the areas where I want light to catch my face. It's not overly shimmery or sparkly, a very fresh, radiant product which feels weight-less on the skin. There's three varieties available; 01 Rose*, which is the shade I have been trying, 02 Champagne and 03 Peach. 01 Rose is the lightest variety available and is the perfect product for giving your skin a radiant, luminous but flattering dewy finish.

Next up we have a shadow, and a shade which looks almost out of place in this pink themed, light and spring-ready collection. The Clarins Ombre Minerale Single Colour Mineral Eyeshadow (Escentual, £13.60) in Smokey Plum*. In the pan it looks like a slate grey yet on the skin it is a beautiful deep purple with grey undertones that looks perfect for a wash of colour over the lids during the day, and even better built up and blended through the crease. Last but not least, something I am incredibly excited to share as a new permanent range from Clarins, the Clarins Multi Blush (Escentual, £14.40) which contains four shades; 01 Peach, 02 Candy, 03 Grenadine and 04 Rosewood. I've been trying out 02 Candy* and 03 Grenadine*. Each has me smitten and I'm determined to add the other two to my collection, as cream blushes are a real favourite of mine after having my first dabble last summer. Candy is a peachy pink, Grenadine an orange toned pink. As far as cream blushes go, these are pretty special.

Am I impressed with the new Clarins collection? Always. With budget-friendly price-points, incredible quality and beautifully presented, the Opalescence collection has stolen my beauty adorers heart.
