On Monday I was delighted to be invited along for to an Autumn Evening of Discovery with Birchbox. Birchbox originally started in the US, and the UK Birchbox set up shop a year ago, bringing beauty treats to beauty adorers all over the Country. The evening began with an intimate event at the Aromatherapy Associates boutique in Knightsbridge. Getting the chance to learn more about a favourite brand of mine was a real treat and I have some posts on the evening as well as a review of a beautiful set we were given on the night, coming up in a week or so. But tonight I wanted to share with you a personal touch from the second part of the evening, which was a lovely meal in Soho with some wonderful company.

When we arrived at the restaurant, we walked in to find each of our places had been set with (let's be honest, beautiful) Muji storage case, inscribed with our blog names and signed off with the Birchbox logo. I was so thrilled with such a personal touch, but even more exciting was the contents - a lovely selection of products picked by Katia Beauchamp herself, co-founder of Birchbox! I wanted to give you a run down of the products inside, as so many of you were as excited as I was when I shared a photo of the box over on my Instagram. I also have a cheeky little giveaway to share with you all, too...

Aromatherapy Associates Revive Body Gel (Aromatherapy Associates, 200ml, £31) - I tried a few of the Aromatherapy Associates body care products, and I am a big fan of their body oils as well as bath and shower oils. But I had never tried one of their body gel's... why?! This is utterly beautiful. I've used it both yesterday and today and not only is Revive one of my favourite Aromatherapy Associates ranges, but it just feels so lovely when applied to my skin. With promises of evening out skin tone and texture, this little beauty has star ingredients of refreshing and invigorating grapefruit, rosemary and juniper. It smells gorgeous and makes my skin feel lovely - I think investing in the full size might be a must for me!

ModelCo Party Proof Lipstick in Kitty (Model Cosmetics, £16.95) - I haven't tried many ModelCo products, and what I had tried hadn't overly impressed me. This lipstick has completely changes my mind about the brand. Chosen by Katia as one of her favourite go-to nudes, the shade is a very pretty pinky nude with warm undertones, with a matte finish that's much kinder to my lips than my usual MAC matte favourites. This is easily going to be an everyday shade for me, and it's made me want to venture more into ModelCo and see what they have to offer!

OPI Avoplex Cuticle Oil To Go (Boots, £10.25) - I love OPI polishes, they last amazingly well on my nails and the shades available are always hard to beat. I was thrilled to see the Avoplex Cuticle Oil to Go in the box, as this will be perfect for my Uni days travelling down to London and back from Nottingham. I love having some form of cuticle oil or butter in my bag, but having such a nifty sized product is going to be fab for just sticking in my bag and grabbing whenever my nails and cuticles need a bit of nourishment. Can't wait to give this a go!

Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle (Birchbox, 236ml, £15) - I've received this in a few beauty boxes before and although the packaging isn't my favourite, it really is a fantastic product. I have this popped in my 'swimming' bag, ready for after the swimming pool and I find it fab for detangling my hair as well as leaving it looking and feeling healthy. It also has an insanely beautiful and addictive scent and is worth using for that alone!

Bioderma Sensibio H20 (Birchbox, 250ml, £9.99) - Oh Bioderma. Is there anyone who doesn't adore Bioderma? I know I do! It's been a pretty staple product in my cleansing routine for around 18 months now - although I opt for the one targeted at oily and combination skin. It's just one of those raved about products that really is worth all the hype - being perfect for removing your makeup and prepping the skin for your second cleanser of choice. I love this cute little 20ml sample size, it's going to come in handy if I am ever traveling away!

Lifestyle Extra - Twistband (Birchbox, Pack of 12, £15) - Included as a lifestyle extra in the box were a happy surprise for me. Twistbands are amazing for keeping your hair up and in your desired style, without snagging or tugging on your hair. I've tried some of these before in a simple black design, which I bought in a multi-pack from Boots. But it's lovely to try one from a brand all the way over in America - where they originally became popular. I'm very tempted to order the pack of 12 autumunal coloured Twistbands over on the Birchbox website!

I am so happy with the contents of the box and there isn't one single product I wouldn't use. Everything is a product I am enjoying trying, some I am excited to give a go, but each are products that can be used on an every day basis. I also want to say a huge thank you to Katia and the Birchbox UK and US team, Pure PR London and Aromatherapy Associates, for a really lovely evening.
