Bobbi Brown Navy & Nude Collection

Bobbi Brown is one of those brands whose quality and phenomenal products never let me down. One of my favourite brands, Bobbi Brown create stunning products with amazing longevity, beautiful colour pay off and products which play to your own natural features. Bobbi Brown isn't about masking your beauty, or greatly altering your look, it's all about enhancing what you already have, making the most of your true beauty, and it's this very reason I adore the brand. Bobbi Brown has enabled me, through makeup lessons (all linked at the bottom of this post) in store, as well as some fantastic beauty books (also linked below) and a team behind the brand whose quite frankly, amazing, to look at myself and feel happy putting away the black eyeshadows and bright neon orange lipsticks. My Bobbi Brown Makeup Lessons, beauty books and the team behind her, have made me feel more confident going for that natural look I used to avoid.  Everyone I have met that works alongside Bobbi Brown has been the sweetest, loveliest people, who instead of playing to my insecurities, help me over come them. I've never once received the hard sell from Bobbi Brown girls, instead I leave Bobbi Brown counters feeling incredibly confident, happy and better about myself. Bobbi Brown is unique, truly, truly unique. Today I am sharing my thoughts with you on the Navy & Nude collection*. This post is well overdue, but you can still grab these limited edition pieces and trust me, these are absolute must haves - I couldn't imagine my collection without them now. Grab a cuppa, this will be long - there's no way you can quickly write a short post on Bobbi Brown makeup, they're just too precious for that.

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner Steel Ink* - I've raved about the Long-Wear Gel Eyeliners before; I genuinely think they are the best gel liners out there. They never budge, they look smooth on, apply super easily and I've had some for absolutely ages - they don't go hard, compared high-street ones I have tried which dry out. Steel Ink is a brand new shade to join a whole host of gorgeous shades available in the range and it's a beautiful rich navy shade. Winner of Best Liquid/Gel Eyeliner (InStyle Best Beauty Buys 2013), a Beauty Bible Anti-Ageing Award (2012) as well as Glamour Power Product and Best Liquid Liner for Harpers Bazaar Beauty Hot 100, this an an eyeliner I can highly recommend. I have a few in my collection, and they are an instant repurchase, every time. (Bobbi Brown*, £17.50)

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Suede* - This was new for me - I've never used a Bobbi Brown Cream Shadow before, but I was excited when I saw the shade. Suede, new to the Long-Wear Cream Shadow range, is a perfect shade; like suede, yes, but it reminds me more of a perfect pale brown, with the very slightest look of gold undertones. I am pretty besotted with this... A shade you can easy wear alone, or teamed with shadows as a base, this covers any imperfections on my lids, is super versatile and the lasting power is intense! The Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadows have a velvet-smooth formula, which is easy to apply either just with a dab of your fingertips, or with a brush (I find a synthetic haired brush much easier) With amazing longevity, you can trust them to last, with no worry over creasing and no smudging, either! Fragrance free and suitable even for those with contacts (it's ophthalmologist tested, don't you know!) these are beautiful - I've already been in to my local Bobbi Brown counter to swatch the rest of the range and let's just say, Cement and Sandy Gold will be joining my collection pretty soon.... (Bobbi Brown*, £18.50)

Bobbi Brown Brightening Brick Pink* (Limited Edition) - Can we just appreciate the stunning shades in this for a moment, please? It's utterly beautiful! Bobbi Brown are renowned for their shimmer bricks, so I was excited by the release of the Brightening Brick. One of the limited edition items in the collection (the gel liner, cream shadow and gloss are new but permanent shades) this is a must. A very subtle, light pink, the combination of shades work fantastically together. Each of the four different shades have a shimmer finish, but a shimmer finish which is more subtle than the traditional Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks. I adore this for a highlight on my brow bone - because it truly is that subtle - or swept across my cheek bones and down the center of my nose, for a stunning highlight. Super impressed, and in awe of how beautiful it is. (Bobbi Brown*, £40, limited edition)

Bobbi Brown Navy & Nude Collection

Bobbi Brown Navy & Nude Eye Palette* (Limited Edition) - This is the true shining star of the Navy & Nude collection for me. With eight skin tone inspired shades, with a variety of finishes including sparkle, shimmer and metallic, and a multi-purpose shade which can be used as a liner as well as a shadow, this compact little palette is stunning. To open, you open the palette up and then slide the bottom half out. Each layer contains four beautiful shadows. On the top layer we have Ivory, which is a creamy white, Cement, which is a grey beige, both almost matte shades with the tiniest shimmer possible, Blazing Star, which is a pale beige with sparkle finish and Beige, which is a shimmery nude shade. On the lower layer there's Twilight Pink, a stunning light, golden pink metallic shade which I adore using in the inner corner, Naked, which is a warm nude matte shade, Slate, which is another matte shade and a stunning pale grey, and the star of the palette for me, Rich Navy, which is a deep, royal blue matte shade. The combination of shades is incredible, making it a versatile palette anyone could fall in love with. It's compact, handy for travel, and the looks you can create are endless. If you buy one thing from this beautiful collection, this has to be it - it's breath-taking. (Bobbi Brown*, £48, limited edition)

Bobbi Brown Sheer Color Lip Gloss Sailor* - Glosses are something I fall in and out of love with and a few months back if you had suggested I try a sheer gloss, I probably would have giggled. But after having a few different sheer glosses applied on me during my makeup lessons, I understand how much I underestimated sheer glosses. Sailor is new to the Bobbi Brown Sheer Color Lip Gloss range and it is a beautiful rosy pink. It's not overpowering - a truly sheer shade this applies with the tiniest hint of colour on bare lips, or can completely transfer a pinky nude lipstick into something pretty magnificent. Non sticky, no oily or greasy residue, I'm impressed with the formula, besotted with the shade and in love with just how wearable this really is. (Bobbi Brown*, £18)

Bobbi Brown never fails to impress me; a brand I will always turn to when I need a boost of confidence, rather than a dent in my purse to fulfill someone's commission. The Navy & Nude collection is beautiful in every way, and the limited edition pieces are not to be missed.
