My Top 5 | February 2013

One of my favourite posts to write is sharing my favourite products of the month. I think it's a really great way to find out what really works for someone, what they have been using the most and also to get a bit of a more informal review on products. This month picking my Top 5 was a lot easier than it was for my January Top 5. These are all products I have really been loving and enjoyed using for the whole of February and ones I think will be hard to beat in March!

The first product I want to mention is one which has seriously changed the way I do my foundation, and that is the Beauty Blender dupe, the Makeup Blending Sponge*. Available from Beauty Chamber for just £3.95 (and available in three colours!) this has just been utterly amazing for me. I was kindly sent three, one of each colour, and I cannot tell you how much I prefer doing my foundation with a 'beauty blender'. They are very much so worth the hype they get, and for a fraction of the price of the original Beauty Blender, I could not recommend them enough! When I use my Makeup Blending Sponge my foundation, concealers and liquid highlighters or contouring products go on absolutely flawlessly and it is a million times better than any effect I can achieve with a foundation brush. Everyone needs one of these!

Next up is a new eye liner I have been trying. The Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in 1 Black Ink. I've actually had this for a while, having snatched it up from a blog sale quite some months ago, but I had never used it. Now, I'm not sure how I coped without it. I mean, I'm pretty in love with the Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liners, but this, this is something else. I am addicted, in love, besotted. And will very happily pay out the £17 when it runs out to replace it. Best. Eyeliner. Ever.

I treated myself to a new MAC blush this month (my second ever MAC blush, to be exact) and boy oh boy do I love it. The shade is Springsheen and it's almost like Guipire from my Sleek Blush by 3 in Lace. But, it's much more 'together'. Basically; less chalky, more perfectness and just more lovely-stuff-ness. Poor description, I know. But when you're next near a MAC store or stand, give it a swatch. I promise you'll fall head over heels like me...

Something else I have really been loving this month, which I won't go in to a ton of detail here as it really does deserve it's very own review, is the Origins Never a Dull Moment Skin-brightening Face Polisher*. Quite possibly the most heavenly exfoliator I have ever used, I am besotted. Full review coming soon!

And finally, my much loved Ben Nye Banana Powder. For someone who adored the Rimmel London Stay Matte powder, I haven't even touched it in a month. My Banana Powder has completely over taken and there's not a day that goes by that I don't use it. Not only does it brighten my under-eye beautifully, but it controls my oily skin so much and once I've applied it in the morning, that's it, I don't need to touch up all day!
