Dita Von Teese for Artdeco

20 Dec 2012

Not long ago I shared with you a new favourite blush and lipstick. Both by Artdeco and part of the Dita Von Teese collection, I found the formulas and lasting power to be quite phenomenal. The blush is now a favourite of mine and the lipstick, a beautiful pink, is by far my favourite, powerfully bright pink lipstick. You can read my review of both the blush and lipstick here. Today I am going to be sharing with you three new eye-shadows and an eye-liner added to the Dita Von Teese line.

ArtDeco Dita Von Teese Eye Styler 51

The Eye Styler 51 seriously packs a punch! When I first swatched this, I was amazed by the intense black of the liner and it lasted absolutely ages, too! This has got to be one of the most long-lasting eye-liners I've ever come across. A retractable eye contour pencil, it makes application so easy with it's firm yet creamy formula. It's so long-lasting, very definitely smudge proof and it's suitable for even the most sensitive of eyes. It's also free from preservatives, fragrances and mineral oils! It's very reasonably priced, too, costing only £9.75. Trust me, you'll need a powerful makeup remover to shift this beaut!

Can we just admire this beautiful eye-shadow palette case? I love the detail on the mirror which reads "Beauty is art". It makes it so special, and I agree so much. I think makeup itself is art. The way we all learn what works for us, transform ourselves into something else, that is art. Don't you agree? The case actually comes separately from the eye-shadows and there are a variety of cases for different products, but this particular one which holds three shadows with room for eye-shadow applicators costs £14.

Now on to the eye-shadows. When I first laid my eyes on these I was pretty wowed by the shades. They are so utterly beautiful and such dark and smouldering shades, right up my street!  The pigmentation lets these shadows down a tiny bit for me when used as they are dry, but I have found they have a much better colour pay-off when using with a slightly damp eye-shadow brush instead of when used dry and I adore them for the crease of my eye. If you can believe it, these beautiful shadows only cost £6 each as well!

Have you tried any of the Artdeco Dita Von Teese range?
