My favourite MAC lipsticks

Although I don't often buy high-end, often finding that high-street products are just as good for what I like and love, there is one thing I will always part with my money for. And that is MAC lipsticks. I have a fair few now, more than any other brand I have for lipsticks. They are my favourite lipsticks for several reasons. Firstly, aesthetics. I love the packaging of MAC lipsticks. A classic bullet design with a simple black and silver look and the MAC logo. Secondly, they have the biggest variety of shades and 'types' of lipstick. I have at least one lipstick from most of the 'types' of lipstick they do now. Thirdly, they just look amazing on.

My first ever MAC lipstick was Lady Danger. A vivid and bright red with coral undertones. Red lipsticks with coral undertones suit me best and I know that Ruby Woo and Russian Red are popular choices for red MAC lipsticks, but for me and my skin tone, they just don't have that wow factor I like when I go for red. It's also a matte lipstick, which I love. I think matte lipstick is perfect on me. So Lady Danger for me was the perfect red and it is one of my top four favourite MAC lipsticks.

I actually won Vegas Volt, which is an Amplified lipstick, in a giveaway and when I got it I instantly fell in love with it. It's a beautiful coral shade that I think is perfect because it's almost a mix between a pink and a red, but it's both subtle and enough of a colour to look great without being offending on the eye! I think out of all my MAC lipsticks, Vegas Volt is probably my favourite and it's one I will repurchase when it runs out, too. Hug Me is for me, 'your lips but better'. It's a lustre shade and I love teaming it with Honey Love underneath, which is a matte shade. It literally is just my lip colour, but better. I think it's a very flattering shade and I turn to it a lot, with Honey Love, when I have smokey eyes!

The final shade in my four favourite MAC lipsticks is Chatterbox which is again, an amplified lipstick. I was given a complimentary lipstick from MAC after complaining about the service I had, on more than one occasion, received at the Nottingham branch. To apologise for the bad experiences I had had there, MAC offered to send me a lipstick of my choice. For days I was like "Ahhh, which one to pick!" because most MAC lipstick buys I have made have been in store and have been after I have swatched them a few times and fallen in love. So picking one from the online website just from the swatch was a hard task! I asked on Twitter and Instagram for some shade suggestions and one suggested the most and which also looked lovely on the website, was Chatterbox. And I am so glad I picked it because it is my favourite pink lipstick! It's such a beautiful pink!

There are a few other MAC lipsticks I want and will add to my collection, particularly Morgane, Costa Chic and Hue. I just love MAC lipsticks! They are pretty much the only thing I even buy from MAC! Do you have any MAC lipsticks? Which are your favourites? Do you have a recommendation for a shade which you think will suit me? Let me know, I'd love to hear your suggestions! MAC lipsticks cost £14 and you can find them both in store or online, here.
