Rio 60 Second Neck Toner

A picture of the Rio 60 Second Neck Toner

One of the things I am most self conscious about is my very chubby face and neck. If someone takes a photo of my face side on, I literally have a panic and little tantrum fit until they delete it. It is my most unflattering angel and it makes me feel awful to see just how chubby and fat my face and neck are. So when I was offered to try the Rio 60 Second Neck Toner, I was delighted - Could this finally be the answers to my self-conscious-prayers?

The Rio 60 Second Neck Toner boasts that it can target the double chin in just 60 seconds a day, toning the area and sculpting it. The 'gym for your chin', this device is an electrical muscle stimulator which exercises muscles in the neck and chin area, improving muscle tone, tightness and restoring a more youthful profile.

For the first week that I had this, I have to admit, I didn't use it religiously. To me, my skincare routine which can take up at least 10 minutes of my morning and the same again at night, is second nature and something I enjoy. But I couldn't seem to get the motivation to use this. After a week I decided, well, I'm never going to get rid of my most hated feature if I don't use it, right? So I started making a conscious effort to use it every single morning before applying my creams for the 60 recommended seconds. It's actually really easy to use. You just place some of the conductive gel (which comes with the neck toner) on to each gold plate, place it in the areas recommended in the instruction booklet (under your chin and on either side of your chin) for 60 seconds. There are different settings and intensities, which you chose by either clicking the up button or the down. This increases and decreases the level of intensity. I found under my chin I could stand a higher setting than on the sides. It doesn't hurt, at all. It's more of a tingling sensation. So have I seen any effects?

Well, I am happy to say I have. I realise this post would have been more helpful with a before and after photo but as it is an area I am seriously self-conscious about, I wasn't comfortable doing that. What I can tell you is that after six weeks, five of which I used this every single morning, I have seen a difference in my chin and neck area. It feels and looks firmer and there is less of a 'sag' under my chin and it looks less 'fatty'. I think with continued use, it's just going to improve and look even better and I am definitely going to stick to using this everyday because this, as well as my hopefully continued weight-loss, that it's going to make me feel far more confident in my face and appearance, and in having my photo taken.

You can find out all about the Rio 60 Second Neck Toner on their official website here, and it costs a very reasonable £29.99!
