The perfect end to the Uni year

A picture of Middlesex University
At last, I have finally finished my exams, which also means I have finished my second year of University ~breathes a sigh of relief~ I study Psychology BSc at a North London University. The only thing which makes my University experience a little different is that I don't live in London. I did during my first year and just found I was really unhappy and it didn't agree with me. So for the entirety of my second year I have been commuting from home, in Nottingham.

Sleek Sheen Lipsticks

A picture of Mulberry, Coral Reef and Peaches & Cream Sleek Lipsticks
I think it's safe to say two of the most popular, cheaper drugstore brands every one loves right now are Sleek and MUA. And I have a fair few products from both! One thing I love from Sleek in particular, is the lipsticks!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

A picture of Rimmel Wake Me Up Anti-Fatigue Effect + Radiant Glow Foundation
Everyone has been raving about this foundation so I wanted to give it a go as I don't have a lot of foundations but I find I need to change my foundation regularly according to my skin on the day! So I picked up this new raved about Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation to see if it was really as good as every one claims!

"Use Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation to lift skin from fatigue, with a healthy radiant glow."

When I got this in my April Glossybox I was so excited! I don't use many styling products because my hair is generally quite oily, so I was excited to try this one out!

The Body Shop Facial Buffer

A picture of a The Body Shop Facial Buffer
I think this is possibly one of my most favourite accessories, ever. And it's only been with me for a few weeks! I used to use facial buffers a lot when my mum bought me a kit with several different types of facial buffers in it. But, it was a cheap-o pack with no directions or instructions about each individual buffer, so I just used them willy-nilly with no real idea of what I was doing! I stopped using them when they all got a bit ratty and needed throwing out, and never got around to investing to any more. That was until I saw this little beauty featured in one of Estée's YouTube videos. And I just knew I had to try another!

Stargazer Cosmetics

A picture of Stargazer Cosmetics Pressed Powder in Body Glow and Lipstick in shade 126
I love Stargazer. From years back when I relied on Stargazer for wild eyelashes and vivid loose shadows, to now when it is my go-to all over face powder. Stargazer is a great brand, with amazing pigments in their products and a brand I believe is not raved about enough!

MAC Hey Sailor Collection Sail La Vie Lipstick

A picture of MAC Hey Sailor Collection Sail La Vie Lipstick
I love MAC's lipsticks. I know, I know. MAC is a huge Worldwide brand name and has a massive cult following. It's pricey, it's elite in it's own right and it has a certain stereotype attached to it in regards to customers. And yes, I cannot deny, the first purchase I made (a match-master foundation in shade 4.0) was a little bit biased by all the hype associated with MAC. But I don't regret joining on the MAC bandwagon at all and love all of the items I have.

Good Things Skincare

A picture of Good Things Deep Clean Blackhead Exfoliator and Eyes Bright Eye Cream
Every time I go into Boots, I see this brand and I look at the packaging lovingly and I am always so tempted, but for months and months I haven't indulged as I didn't 'need' any more skin care products. But finally, I had a reason to try Good Things out! I have been wanting an eye cream for a while now and I shopped around. I looked into No7, as that's where the majority of my skin care products comes from, but I felt the price was unjustified. The same with the Body Shop, Clarins and Clinique. I tried to find the Sanctuary eye gel that I have had before, but there were none available in any of the Boots I had looked in. And so I decided to try the eye cream from Good Things.

Collective beauty and home haul

A picture of a collective beauty and home haul
If you read my last post you'd know that yesterday I had a super lovely day with two of my favourite people. Me and my best friend Hayley went shopping and then in the evening me and my boyfriend went for a Chinese followed by the cinema to see Avengers!

A lovely day out

I thought I would share with you all the lovely day I had yesterday. My favourite girl for shopping with is my bestie Hayley and we arranged to go into town to do a little bit of shopping and a little trip to Costa Coffee. A little bit of shopping as per usual turned into a lot of shopping. Make up, clothes, being persuaded to try out products I've so far been reluctant to try. You can see everything I bought in my drugstore haul post later to follow this post!

Real Techniques Brushes Review

There's no getting away from them. Everyone, everywhere, all around the World has heard of Real Techniques brushes, created by the talented Samantha Chapman. When I first heard of them, I was a little dubious. There seems to be a massive hype over brushes that I never saw myself personally dishing out the money for. Then a few things miraculously changed my mind, and I haven't looked back since!
