Birchbox UK June 2017 Review

Over the past year or so I've found myself falling out of love with monthly beauty boxes. They just didn't excite me anymore and although there's a good product every now and then, most of the products just didn't suit my tastes anymore. When the June Birchbox UK landed on my doorstep, that excitement I'd been missing with beauty boxes came back in full force - with a gorgeous design for this month's Birch-'bag' and some pretty impressive products, I think the June Birchbox might just have rekindled my love for subscription boxes!

Scrub Love Original Coffee Body Scrub Review

I really like the bag format for this month, especially as the pastel hues scream summer and I love the rope tie. It feels very summery and something you could happily take along to the beach with you - although I think I'll be using mine for my on-the-go mama essentials in the changing bag! There's two colour combinations coming out this month, the lilac and yellow one I received, and a mint green and lilac version. The theme for June is 'Daytripping', celebrating homegrown holidays in the UK, whether it's a day out at the seaside or a weekend away on the coast. Enough about the bag, let's get into the products which have wowed me with the June Birchbox.

FULL SIZE | MeechNMia Brow Liner RRP £12.99
This is the only product in the box I'll be passing on to a friend, as I simply don't get along with brow pencils, but for a full-size makeup product, it's a lovely addition to the box. I've never heard of MeechNMia before so it's nice to be introduced to a new brand. Birchbox say the MeechNMia Brow Liner, which subscribers will receive in one of three shades; #21, #22 or #23, is a cruelty-free liner that helps to define and fill brows, gliding on for naturally defined arches in seconds.

FULL SIZE | Cowshed Cow Pat Hand Cream RRP £8
You can never have too many hand creams in my opinion and Coincidently, I'd just finished my office one so was on the lookout to purchase another. I love Cowshed, a regular in beauty boxes and I think over the years I've received quite a few Cowshed hand cream in Birchbox boxes, but they are always a welcome sight for me! A nourishing hand cream formulated with rejuvenating essential oils including Grapefruit, which works to uplift, and Coriander, which helps to soothe, leaving your hands moisturised and softer to the touch.

FULL SIZE | EcoTools Eye Enhancing Set RRP £6.99
I love makeup brushes and I probably have more than your average person and I'm always looking to try new brushes and see if any are better than the ones I'm currently using. I'm so excited to see this included this month and the fact that it's not just one brush but a set of two dual-ended eyeshadow brushes is amazing! Created with soft cruelty-free bristles, they are designed for applying shadows, blending, smudging and defining. Can't wait to give these a try.

TRAVEL SIZE | Scrub Love Coffee Body Scrub RRP from £11.95
I'm definitely partial to a coffee scrub and after finishing my frank Original Coffee Scrub, I've been wanting to try another, more accessible brand. Made with 100% natural ingredients, it helps to stimulate circulation, gently buffing away dead skin cells, hydrating your skin at the same time. Coffee is a popular ingredient in beauty products and it's said to help energise and awaken skin, excited to give this a go!

SAMPLE | Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Repair Cream RRP £46
We all know Bobbi Brown is one of my ultimate favourites when it comes to beauty brands and I'm already a huge fan of their skincare range; the Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream is one of the best eye creams I've used, so I'm definitely looking forward to trying the Extra Eye Repair! Said to melt into the delicate skin around our eyes to brighten, smooth and prep your under eye for makeup.

Three full sized products, a very decently sized travel size and a skincare sample, I think that's a pretty good Birch'bag', what about you? Also in this month's bag is an exclusive voucher from Trouva, which promotes independent high-street boutiques, as well as a sneak peak into what will be inside the July box - Benefit GoGo Tint and Benefit ChaCha Tint.

You still have time to sign up for the June Birch'bag' and if not, there's always the July box! You can shop all the brands featured this month in the Birchbox e-shop, and subscribe at www.birchbox.co.uk/.

  3. I had a Scrub Love bamboo variety sent to me, and omg. I had to bin it!! It stank like mouldy socks!! They sent me a mango one to replace it, which is still a bit funky but bearable! Is it just me???
