Family Dinners with Pomegreat

Coming from a Cypriot background, food has always been a huge part of family life and so family mealtimes have always been hugely important to me. I grew up eating at the dinner table as a family, using the time to catch up on everyone's day and of course, delving into delicious food that all the family enjoy. When we had Willow, family mealtimes became even more important, a time where we can sit down together and enjoy a meal with our little girl, who is still exploring the huge world of food and flavour, chatting together and enjoying a nice sit-down family meal.

Sunday dinners have always been my favourite meal of the week. As we wind away a productive weekend and sit down to enjoy a typical Sunday roast, one of my favourite meals to cook. Roasted chicken and crispy roast potatoes with a tonne of vegetables and a generous helping of gravy, it's the star of the week when it comes to dinners. Willow has been a big fan of roast dinners ever since she started Baby-Led Weaning and you can count on her to scoff as many potatoes as she can fit in!

We're definitely a family of soft-drink fans and prefer something cool and refreshing to accompany meals. Recently we've been enjoying Pomegreat, which is great for all the family, even Willow, who we have started giving fresh juices as a treat and change from her usual water.

Grown in California orchards, Pomegreat is made using a few different varieties of pomegranates, to give Pomegreat a sweet taste without the sharp bitterness some pomegranate drinks can have. Pomegranates are an excellent fruit to have in your diet and Pomegreat juice is an easy way to make sure you're getting all the benefits from this delicious fruit.

You can find Pomegreat in-store and online at www.tesco.com and www.sainsburys.co.uk, where cartons currently have an incredibly exciting promotion; Pomegreat are giving away 50 prizes for a £100 GoApe voucher, all you have to do to be in with a chance to win is pick up a carton of Pomegreat with the special GoApe promotional sticker and enter the code online to see if you are one of the lucky 50 winners!

  1. Family meal times are really important to us because, with 7 of us, everyone is so busy, often going in 7 different directions! that meal times are the one time we're all together, so can talk about our days sand discuss things that need discussing.
We'd love to win the Go Ape voucher because I think the kids especially would enjoy the challenge and it'd make a fun family day out x

  3. Family meal times are important as it is probably the only time of the day when we all sit down together and have a conversation, it also gives me a lot of satisfaction to know I have cooked a nice meal that we all have enjoyed together. I would like to win the voucher so I can take my boys for a fun day out.

  9. The evening meal is when we all catch up on what has happened to us during the day. This is a vital component of having a healthy family life.

  10. Family meal times are important to us as myself and my partner work very conflicting shifts so we find it very hard to have meals together (around once a week or less) so when we do get the opportunity we make it an important occasion and dedicate our time to each other

  16. With 5 of us in the house life can be very hectic. Our oldest child is autistic and hides away from any social situations. Mealtimes are important to us, as it's the one time that we all sit down together. We make sure that everything is calm for our oldest, and then we have a lovely meal together.
