Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette Review

I have wanted to try the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette for a long time, undoubtedly one of the most well-loved palettes in the beauty world. I'm a big fan of Too Faced as a brand and enjoy using their products, always impressed by the quality and formula, and thankfully, the Chocolate Bar palette turned out to be everything I hoped it would be.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette Review

Designed to look like a huge chocolate bar, one of the most famous features of this palette is the scent; like many products in the Too Faced range which have a chocolate theme, it actually smells like chocolate! It's not overpowering, just a lovely touch of chocolate goodness that might just leave you sniffing the palette as much as applying the shades themselves! The palette features 16 shades in total, 2 of which are double the size of the other 14 shades, and also the shades many of us will use most often, as inner-corner and base shades, meaning they will (theoretically) last as long as the other shades in the palette.

Each shade has been pigmented with pure, antioxidant-rich Cocoa Powder and the formula is buttery soft, like all Too Faced products; little to no fallout but very easy to apply and blend. With a good eyeshadow primer they easily last all day, although even without a primer, I've found these shadows to last very well throughout the day.

The Chocolate Bar palette includes brand new shades to the Too Faced range, including Glided Ganache, White Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, Salted Caramel, Black Forest Truffle, Triple Fudge, Marzipan, Semi-Sweet, Strawberry Bon Bon, Candied Violet, Amaretto, Hazelnut, Creme Brulee, Haute Chocolate, Cherry Cordial and Champagne Truffle. I love that the shade names carry on the delicious sweet theme to this palette and the selection works really well; you've got shades for morning and night, covering matte and shimmer shades, from your everyday basic neutral browns and soft pinks to bolder deep sultry plums and eye-catching violets.

Is it a must-have? If you're a fan of eyeshadow palettes then the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette is one definitely worth checking out and adding to your beauty stash. I've been reaching for it more over my usual neutral palettes, as I just love the shade selection and how well many of the shades work together. At £39 it's pretty in line with other palettes of this size from high-end brands and well worth a splurge for the incredible quality that comes with Too Faced products.

You can check out the full Too Faced range and pick up your own Chocolate Bar palette in-store and online at www.debenhams.com and www.selfridges.com.
