Protecting Baby Skin with Petit Pai

Throughout my pregnancy, I was set on the idea of using natural and organic products with Willow. As someone who tries their best to avoid unnecessary ingredients in the skincare products I use, I wanted to ensure the same goes for my little girl. I want to avoid products that use unnecessary filler ingredients or ones which might irritate her skin, instead opting for products and brands whose ingredients match their ethics. One such brand is Pai, who recently launched their very first range of baby products; Petit Pai.

The range has been passionately created to take away the worry many parents have when it comes to choosing products for their baby’s delicate skin. So far featuring two core products, available both individually as full-size products as well as available to buy as a lovely little Petit Pai Try Me Set. Developed to ensure happy skin for your little ones, the products utilise Apple and Mallow Blossom alongside nourishing organic oils and butters. They are completely free of unnecessary ingredients such parabens, SLS and artificial fragrances, as well as being cruelty-free, Soil Association Certified Organic and vegan-friendly.

The products in the range are simple yet wonderful; catering to all the needs of your baby’s delicate skin. Suitable for use from 3 months onwards, the Petit Pai Apple & Mallow Blossom Hair & Body Wash comes in a 200ml easy to use tube, alongside a 100% natural Konjac Bath Sponge. Not only is it great as a hair and body wash; the consistency not too thick and very easy to work with, even with the fine delicate hair Willow has, it’s also great at calming Willow before bedtime with the use of botanicals which, with the warmth of a bath, create a lovely soothing atmosphere. The Konjac Sponge is a lovely addition and a great way to gently cleanse Willow’s skin.

The Petit Pai Apple & Mallow Blossom Face & Body Cream is absolutely my favourite of the products in the new Petit Pai range. A cream which can be used to moisturise both body and face, I am smitten with how soft it leaves Willow’s skin – it even works wonders on the mild Eczema she has around her ears and nose. Also suitable for use from 3 months onwards, it provides a deeply intensive long-lasting hydration and with the added benefit of calming botanicals, it helps to soothe the appearance and feel of irritated skin. The formula is quick thick in consistency, yet is easy to massage in leaving no residue and a little goes such a long way. The full size is 200ml, just like the hair and body wash, and lasted us a long while.

Each product contains Apple Seed Oil, which works to intensely moisturise skin, scalp and hair, as well as Mallow Blossom, which is rich in lots of lovely natural glycoproteins which not only moisturise, but also soften dry skin. Particularly lovely for irritated skin, the ingredients have anti-inflammatory properties and are suitable for the most sensitive of skin types, including Eczema prone skin.

Prices range from £18 - £20 for the full size products, with the try me set costing a very reasonable £8 which includes a 30ml size of each product as well as the Konjac Sponge. If you’re looking for gentle yet effective products for your baby, the Petit Pai range is definitely one to try out. The try me set is a great way to test the products and see if they work for you before investing in the full size, as well as being a lovely gift for expectant mamas.

  1. I love brands that focas on the natural balance of a child's skin. Both my boys have dry skin and I always found Johnsons just irritates it. I tend to use just plain water and fragence free baby soap but it would be great to find something that is kind but also smells great.

    1. We have never touched Johnson's baby products as I have read too many horror stories and I am not a fan of the unnecessary harsh ingredients they use. It's so important, especially with delicate baby skin, to use gentle products with kind ingredients, and Petit Pai fits the bill perfectly! xo
