Giorgio Armani Lip Magnets Review

I'm a sucker for a liquid lacquer, my favourite product to use for the last couple of years as the ease of application and longevity wins every time. I've recently been trying out the Giorgio Armani Lip Magnets, a high-end range of liquid lipsticks in a gorgeous selection of colours, a range of liquid lacquers which has taken the beauty world by storm, but are they really worth all the hype they seem to be getting?

There are 18 shades in the range, which I am sure you'll agree is a great variety for a new launch. The shades do take a more classic approach with nudes, peaches, pinks and some lovely berries, nothing too daring or out there, all shades which would work well with a good range of complexions for practically any occasion and shades great for all seasons.

Each shade has a long-lasting matte formula, so if you're looking for gloss or shine, this isn't the range for you, but for anyone who loves a real pop of colour with great longevity and a comfortable matte finish, these are a real contender. Presented in a clear tube with a red lid, adorned with the Giorgio Armani logo, they look bold and elegant. I love that you can see the shade through the tube, which makes grabbing the shade you want super easy. With a doe-foot applicator, almost heart shaped, you can get a really precise application, even when on-the-go; I applied one on the London Underground and even with using my phone as a mirror, the application was flawless.

The formula is the most light-weight formula I have come across in a liquid lacquer, giving you just the right amount of product for an even application. I do find more than one layer needs to be applied for a truly opaque finish, though, but with such a weightless formula, it feels comfortable to wear from morning to night. My only gripe with the formula is that for a matte finish, it can take a while to actually dry. I find the wear is really good throughout the day, but I do end up reapplying after a meal and drinks as they can become slightly faded, but on the upside they leave a surprisingly lovely stain on the lips.

My favourite shades are Hollywood 302, Fusion 506 and Night Viper 602, which are slightly warmer, deeper shades, perfect for this time of year. They're not the cheapest liquid lacquers out there, but if you want something a little more special in presentation and formula, the Giorgio Armani Lip Magnets are a lovely treat buy.

You can check out the full range of shades and pick up your very own Georgio Armani Lip Magnets at www.harrods.comwww.selfridges.com and www.houseoffraser.co.uk, RRP £27.

  1. I've seen these in person and really wasn't sure about them but the range of shades seems quite reassuring and very 'classic' so nothing you'd be scared to try
