Bravado Body Silk Seamless Plus Size Nursing Bra Review

I used to be the kind of girl who would shop at Ann Summers, filling my drawers with flirty sets of lingerie that made me feel confident and sexy. Now? I am all about the comfort, and there is nothing more comfortable than a Bravado Nursing Bra. A brand whose range I discovered when I was pregnant with Willow, I wore one of their Body Silk Seamless Yoga Bras towards the end of my pregnancy and when I was breastfeeding Willow, which made feeding an absolute breeze. Recently I've been trying out the award-winning Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bra range, which has recently expanded to include plus sizes so mamas of all sizes can find the perfect nursing bra and fit for them.

First things first, you might wonder why I opt to wear nursing bras when I am no longer breastfeeding. Honestly? Comfort. I have never in my entire adult life found a brand whose bras are so comfortable to wear, and I think comfort should be a big factor when you consider what bras to go for. For me, the nursing function doesn't bother me despite not currently breastfeeding, and hey; when we have another baby I'll already be prepared! I have been unable to wear wired bras since around 15 weeks into my pregnancy and the idea of wearing a bra with a wire that cages me in, I couldn't bare it. There's a popular thought among women that taking your bra off at the end of the day is the best feeling in the world, well, when you're an FF bust like me, I find the opposite. There is nothing nicer than putting on a Bravado Nursing Bra.

So what about the bras themselves? They're called Seamless Nursing Bras because they use a seamless and super soft and stretchy fabric which not only looks undetectable under clothing but feels comfortable enough to wear all day. Add to that foam cups (which can be removed if you'd prefer), and you have a soft lining which helps to hide away any tell-tale signs of nipples or breast pads if you're using them to catch any leaks. They're not thick and ghastly foam cups like you'd find in normal bras on the high street; very slim, soft, slightly rounded in shape, offering a natural look.

Anyone who has breastfed will know that you need something comfortable and easy to get around when it comes to nursing and the nursing clips make this a super easy bra to use when breastfeeding; they unclip at the shoulder allowing you to drop down the cup for that side, whilst also managing to stay closed when you clip them back in, unlike many brands I have tried that will randomly pop open throughout the day. Even better? You can clip and unclip the Bravado Nursing Bra clips with just one hand, which comes in handy when cradling a baby ready for a feed.

For those of you who are no longer nursing, there is also the option to transform your Nursing Bra into a normal bra with the inclusion of a Bra Conversion Kit, although I still use mine as it arrived, as the clips do stay in place and so for me, it's no bother. The range is available in four permanent colours; Ivory, Black, Pink Ice and Butterscotch, as well as two limited edition seasonal shades which are currently available; Cherry and Silver Belle.

The size range has recently expanded to include some larger sizes, which is an incredible move forward for Bravado. As a plus size mama myself I know how hard it can be to find the right size nursing bras, I seriously struggled in the early days of my pregnancy when looking for maternity and nursing bras in my size, having to shop around, try different sizes, return ones which didn't fit and hope the next one would be the one that ticked all the right boxes. Bravado is the only brand who has managed to tick every box for me and now that the sizes have expanded, I am in even more comfort, opting for size XL which fits like a dream!
