Spring Time Essentials

COLAB Active Dry Shampoo Review
Sunny days are rare in the UK so when the sun does decide to shine and the temperature matches how gloriously bright it is, I have to get outside and soak it all up. Spring time this year is much simpler for me than years gone by. I used to cover myself in all the spring pastels, trying to perfect that classic spring look. Now I have a baby I simply don't have the time, and so instead I reach for the essentials, the products that'll make getting ready easy whilst still making me feel and look good.

Food for the Soul with Mindful Chef

Mindful Chef UK Review
We're big foodies in the Tattooed Tealady house and one thing I am trying to do more is pick healthier ingredients to make healthier meals for us as a family. It won't be long until we start our baby led weaning journey with Willow and I really want us to have a better diet when that time comes, so that she is given a varied, nutritious and healthy diet.

Four Months of Change

This morning as we were getting ready to take Willow to her baby clinic at our local Sure Start centre to get weighed, it hit me. My daughter is 4 months old. It feels like those newborn days are a long forgotten memory, a time that feels like it could have been years ago. I never knew how much would change in just 4 short months, and this month in particular has been a month full of changes, challenges and wonderful developments.

Pixi Nourishing Cleansing Balm

Pixi Beauty Skintreats Nourishing Cleansing Balm Review

Cleansing balms are undoubtedly one of the most popular ways to cleanse, with brands of all budgets bringing out their own cleansing balms in the hopes of being the next cult must-have. I'm a big fan of cleansing balms myself, finding them more luxurious in texture and scent, nicer to massage into skin (as well as making you take the time to massage them in so that you properly cleanse your skin), as well as being more effective for me than foams, creams or lotions in removing makeup, dirt and impurities from my skin.

Baby Bath Time Essentials

Bath time is one of my favourite times of the day, always full of smiles and giggles from Willow who (thankfully!) adores splashing around and playing with her bath toys. She even loves having her hair washed, which is such a rare thing for babies. It's a time of day we always look forward to and we've definitely picked up some favourite products along the way that make our bath times special.

Cosatto Giggle 2 Travel System Review

Cosatto Giggle 2 Travel System Review

We bought our travel system quite early on in our pregnancy, before we had our 20 week scan and resisting the urge to put it up until we'd have that halfway-mark scan and confirmation that everything with our baby was OK. As soon as we got home after our scan, we celebrated by putting our travel system together. I can't even tell you how excited I was and it made the wait for our baby's arrival even harder, keeping it in my office where I could see it every single day.

I think it's safe to say when you find out you're pregnant, one of the first things you picture yourself doing is taking your baby out in their pram, introducing them to the big world outside. I'll never forget the first time I took Willow out on my own, going to meet her daddy after work and showing her off to his colleagues who wanted to see our beautiful little girl. I felt proud as punch, with my whole world in our gorgeous, bright and colourful pushchair.

Revive and Replenish with Kiehl's

Kiehl's Cilantro & Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Masque and Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energising Radiance Masque Review

Although I like to dabble with my skincare and I'm always trying out new brands and products, there are a few products which have stood the test of time and always been a constant in my skincare routine, and those products are from Kiehl's. A brand whose products are effective, whose products work in harmony with my skin to provide all the benefits I want, whilst giving my skin all the care it needs.

Their oils are my favourite, I'm a fan of their toners, their moisturisers are pretty darn lovely and they have the most impressive range of eye creams you will ever come across. I'm a big fan, there's no denying that, so you can imagine how excited I was when the two new products popped through my door; introducing Cilantro & Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Masque and the Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energising Radiance Masque.

Treating Your Baby's Dry Skin

Mustela Cleansing Milk, Weleda White Mallow Face Cream and Mustela Cold Cream Nutri-Protective Review

Although she is only 15 weeks old, Willow has her very own little skincare routine that we follow morning and evening. It may sound excessive for a baby, but the routine we have and the products we rely on, have been specifically chosen to help ease, protect and nourish her skin. You see, from a very early age of just a few weeks old, Willow has had tremendously dry skin; predominately on her cheeks and forehead, which has been confirmed to us as mild eczema. I suspected it would be eczema as it is something I had myself as a child, which still occasionally flares up, and it's also extremely common for babies to have eczema.

When we did have the eczema confirmed, the Health Visitor and GP were super impressed with how I had been managing her eczema with the products I'll be featuring in this post, and told me there was no need to use anything else and only to take her back to the GP if it got worse. The products we use keep her eczema at bay wonderfully, so much so you wouldn't know she even had it! It's by using these products morning and evening that we are able to keep her skin happy, in turn making her more comfortable and happy, and for us this little routine works absolute wonders.

Illamasqua Metamorph Collection

Illamasqua Metamorph Vital Palette Review

Illamasqua
is a brand that stands out from all others, a brand which encourages beauty creatives to experiment and explore, yet a brand which doesn't receive half as much praise as they deserve in the blogging world. Stand out products with incredible formulas and shades which are truly unique, Illamasqua should be the brand on everyone's to-try list, and the Metamorph Collection is the perfect starting point.

Pur Mineral Universal Marble Powders

Pur Minerals Universal Marble Powders Pink and Bronze Review
There's something about marbled products that I simply can't resist. I just love the way they look, and the Pur Minerals Universal Marble Powders don't disappoint. They are simply beautiful. Of course, when it comes to makeup you need more than something that just looks nice, you need a product that'll perform, that'll meet your expectations, a product that'll be worth the splurge.

toTs Voyage Melange Changing Bag

toTs Voyage Melange Changing Bag Review

Parents will often joke amongst themselves about how much time it can take to get ready to leave the house, and how you practically have to pack everything but the kitchen sink if you're going any further than the end of your road. When I was pregnant I thought this was just an exaggeration, but now I'm a mama I know this is no secret joke between parents; making sure you have everything you need in one bag, trying to squeeze everything in, double and triple checking before you leave. Sorting out the changing bag can soon became a task you dread, unless of course you have a changing bag that makes it easier for you. Introducing the stylish new toTs Voyage Melange Changing Bag.

Tortilla Intu Nottingham Review

Tortilla Intu Nottingham Review

I adore going out for evening meals with my partner or off to my favourite Indian with the girls, but when it comes to shopping trips I want something quick, easy and delicious that I can get whilst dashing between shops and something that'll keep me full and satisfied as I shop til I drop.

On Saturday I popped into Nottingham for my first solo-mama shopping trip since Willow was born, getting some essentials that we don't have in my local town and of course, visiting some of my favourite baby shops to treat Willow. Whilst there I was kindly invited to check out Tortilla, a trendy destination for delicious burritos and tacos.
