toTs Voyage Melange Changing Bag

toTs Voyage Melange Changing Bag Review

Parents will often joke amongst themselves about how much time it can take to get ready to leave the house, and how you practically have to pack everything but the kitchen sink if you're going any further than the end of your road. When I was pregnant I thought this was just an exaggeration, but now I'm a mama I know this is no secret joke between parents; making sure you have everything you need in one bag, trying to squeeze everything in, double and triple checking before you leave. Sorting out the changing bag can soon became a task you dread, unless of course you have a changing bag that makes it easier for you. Introducing the stylish new toTs Voyage Melange Changing Bag.

Since becoming a mama changing bags are something I have become a little bit obsessed with. Whereas before I had a cupboard full of bags from my favourite brands, filling them to the brim with makeup essentials, books, sunglasses and my purse, a notepad and pen, my diary and everything else I could fit in there that I didn't really need, nowadays it's a very different story. I'm lucky if I have enough room for my purse and keys, with Willow needing so much when we go out that she fills up a changing bag with ease.

Our travel system came with a changing bag, but it's rather small and so we only use it for trips to the doctors where all we need is one nappy change, a bottle and her red book. We needed something bigger, that could fit everything we needed, that would fit onto our pushchair but also be held when need-be. Something that we could use whether out for an hour or all day long, a changing bag that was big but not bulky. The Voyage works perfectly for us, ticking all our changing-bag boxes.

For starters, the dark grey colour does wonders for my obsession with grey. It looks great on our Cosatto travel system, it goes with any outfit (because of course, that's what really matters with a changing bag) and it's gender neutral; no big floral designs putting my other half off of grabbing it when we head out. It's great as a baby changing bag, but an exciting feature to the Voyage for me is that it doubles up as a back-pack which will be great in our toddler days when we're walking instead of using the pushchair, and we can just pop it on our backs out of the way.

It features a ton of compartments both inside and outside, so there's space to keep everything separate; we have our nappies, nappy bags and nappy cream in one compartment, Infacol and muslin cloth ready for feeds in another, a change of clothes in the handy zip compartment, there's a compartment for the changing mat which comes with the bag, as well as a separate thermal pouch for bottles. It also comes with a handy wallet that you can keep your red book or baby medical records safe in, and it's even big enough to fit in your tablet or a small laptop if you're a working mama that likes to multi-task.

One of the best features for me is the water repellent coating on the quilted fabric; I'm not worried about getting caught out in the rain with this one. It can also be washed if it gets mucky, which is another bonus! I'm always using the front and back pockets which are almost invisible when you look at the bag, so I feel safe enough putting my purse, keys and phone in those pockets instead of having to open the whole bag up.

It's a fantastic changing bag and definitely one of the most stylish ones I've come across. I love the elegant design, how much it can hold and the way it is so versatile, one she can grow with.

It's not the cheapest changing bag, but it's also nowhere near as expensive as some I have seen. Plus, with it being one which can be used as she gets older too, it really is an investment that'll see you through. What are your changing bag essentials?

  3. I'm looking at changing bags atm and I'm starting to panic I'm leaving it quite late! (6 weeks left!) but I'm desperate for one that turned into a backpack and gender neutral too, so I think I've found a winner! Thank you! :D
