Tortilla Intu Nottingham Review

Tortilla Intu Nottingham Review

I adore going out for evening meals with my partner or off to my favourite Indian with the girls, but when it comes to shopping trips I want something quick, easy and delicious that I can get whilst dashing between shops and something that'll keep me full and satisfied as I shop til I drop.

On Saturday I popped into Nottingham for my first solo-mama shopping trip since Willow was born, getting some essentials that we don't have in my local town and of course, visiting some of my favourite baby shops to treat Willow. Whilst there I was kindly invited to check out Tortilla, a trendy destination for delicious burritos and tacos.

Tortilla Intu Nottingham Review

It's been a while since I was last in Nottingham, back when I was around 7 months pregnant, and since then the Intu Victoria shopping centre has had a lovely new makeover. Everything looks snazzy, modern and very on-trend. The inside has had a huge makeover, but it's the outside that has the biggest difference with an entirely new eye-catching exterior.

Tortilla is located on the first floor right towards the back of Intu, next to Millie's Cookies (perfect for a sweet treat afterwards!). The venue itself is very decent in size with seating available for everyone from individual diners, couples and groups of friends. It's definitely a venue for all; there were couples, families and students all dining there during our visit, welcome to groups of any size and age.

The menu at Tortilla is simple, giving you some tasty options for burritos and tacos and some scrumptious sides and drinks thrown in for good measire. Turnaround is extremely quick; you go up to the counter when you arrive, tell the friendly team serving what you'd like and watch them make your burrito or tacos right in front of you. There's a huge option of fillings covering a meat, beans and rice, veg and sauces and salsas galore!

I opted for a burrito with every filling going; I had a mix of beef and pork, both of which were mouth-wateringly good, a selection of all the rice, beans and veg on offer and some guacamole and salsa to top things off. It was my very first time trying a burrito and it was huge, not bad at all for £6.20. In fact, the entire menu at Tortilla is incredibly budget-friendly and is somewhere you could go to really fill yourself up without breaking the bank. Nachos on the side to share, a gorgeous looking margarita on ice and I was ready to tuck in.

I'm easily pleased when it comes to food, enjoying all tastes, flavours and cuisines you can chuck at me, and this was no different. Each bite was absolutely scrumptious and with my added touch of hot salsa drizzled throughout, I was in food heaven. The beef and pork were both extremely succulent, real melt in the mouth meat, with all of the ingredients being fresh, perfectly cooks and with just the right amount of flavour so as not to be overpowering. The nachos were fab, really good quality nachos and well made salsa and guacamole; no soggy nachos here!

Tortilla is definitely a venue I'll be visiting next time I am in Nottingham. The quality and value for money is hard to beat when it comes to Nottingham eateries and the food was right up my street. Fun, welcoming and a refreshing venue that's a welcome addition to Intu Victoria.

I'll have to check this place out when we come to midlands soon, deffo due a trip into Nottingham its so much nicer than Leicester.
