Christmas with tarte

A picture of tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick Quad

There's just one week left until Christmas and the time for dashing out to finish off your Christmas shopping is quickly disappearing. For those last minute Christmas gifts for the makeup adorers in your life, there's a huge range of Christmas gift sets available over on QVC, with one brand in particular ticking all the boxes when it comes to beautiful makeup gift sets and limited edition collections that are hard to resist.

Of all the overseas brands which have branched out to the UK, tarte is definitely the brand to get the most excited about. A brand I absolutely adore, their products have the most beautiful packaging with some incredible product formulas throughout the range which boost amazing colour pay-off and fab longevity, making tarte a brand to be rivalled with. I've personally always purchased tarte products when making Sephora orders online, but having seen the pretty reasonable prices of the collections and gift sets on QVC, it's definitely swayed me into making a few UK based orders in future. For a brand which is so popular and products that are such great quality, their gift sets, collections and palettes are all very, very reasonable in price. There's a huge selection on offer, many of which can still be ordered in time for Christmas delivery, something to suit all beauty tastes and needs.

tarte is a brand that definitely stands out from the crowd, whether it's their packaging or the way they utilise certain ingredients, for me there is no brand you could compare them to. A brand which is proud to be cruelty-free, the vast product range is infused with superfruits, plant extracts, essential oils and naturally-derived ingredients, creating products which are high quality with long-lasting formulas which are gentle to skin as well as incredibly effective. It's not just makeup that tarte is loved for either; they also have a skincare collection which gets as much love as the beautiful makeup range with rave reviews.

The tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick Quad (£26) features 4 tarte Amazonian Butter Lipsticks and would make the perfect gift for those lipstick addicts in your life. Although each is technically a smaller size than a full size tarte lipstick, each is incredibly generously sized at 3.1g which is actually bigger than MAC lipsticks which come in at 3g! Each has the most beautiful floral packaging, easily the most pretty lipstick packaging in my beauty stash, with a softening and moisturising formula that keeps lips comfortable throughout the day. with a creamy yet firm consistency that glides on for an effortlessly precise application. One thing worth baring in mind with these though; they have a very, very slightly minty scent. If like me that doesn't bother you then this little quad is absolutely perfect, but if you're not keen on minty scents or you are buying for someone as a Christmas gift who you think may not like the scent, then it's something to consider before purchasing.

Topaz is a warm nude with a slight apricot undertone, Quartz is a lovely rose pink, Garnet is a warm toned berry and Ruby is a warm toned subtle red. Each feels utterly weightless on the lip, with fantastic colour pay-off and a subtle sheen finish. They're not the most opaque of lipsticks, so more ones I would turn to during the day to finish off an autumnal look, but applied with lip liner underneath they pack a bigger punch and can be just as lovely for an evening event.

Another one perfect for the lip product fans in your life is the tarte Mistletoe Madness 15 Piece Deluxe Lip Gloss Set (£31.50) which features 15 gorgeous Maracuja lip glosses. There's a lovely selection of shades covering everything from your everyday nude to soft pinks and deep berries. The set is divided into 3 individual boxes, each housing 5 glosses. You could easily keep the gift set for yourself, gift the entire 15 piece set to one friend or even split it up between 3 friends to make it stretch further, as each individual 5 piece box is beautifully designed and presented.

There's a lovely variety of finishes, too, with some glosses being slightly sheer in finish, some being very opaque and some having a touch of fine shimmer. Each is 1.9ml in size, so a 'travel' size version, however they would easily last a long while and it also makes them the perfect size for popping in your handbag! The only downside is that each individual gloss, although they have names (which you can spot on the QVC website), the packaging itself doesn't include any shade information.

There's some stunning palettes in the Christmas collection which are limited edition and definitely worth checking out, with lots of little tarte sets available which cover everything from bases and eyes to lips and cheeks. Will you be giving the gift of tarte this Christmas?
