KIKO Rebel Romantic Intensely Lavish Lipstick

A KIKO Intensely Lavish Lipsticks review
If like me you're a big fan of high-end makeup and you have a not-so-secret addiction to MAC lipsticks, then you might want to pay attention. Oh yes, this is another rave KIKO post, a brand that I have shared the love for here on the blog over and over and over about, whose products never disappoint, packed full of intense pigmentation with long-lasting formulas and super friendly prices. This time? It's all about lipsticks, lipsticks which have made this MAC obsessive stray from the £15.50 MAC offerings with their pretty classic black bullet and satisfying 'click'. Now? I'm all about those Intensely Lavish Lipsticks.

When you think about it, you wouldn't expect a lipstick that costs just £6.90 to be comparable to a high-end world renowned and well loved brand like MAC, who let's be honest, are most famous for their lipsticks. Yet time and time again KIKO exceed my expectations and massively impress me, with beautiful shade ranges, stunning packages and formulas that are so spot on, it's crazy to think they are so budget-friendly.

When the Intensely Lavish Lipsticks popped through my letter box, part of the recent Rebel Romantic Collection, I was instantly taken in by the beautiful packaging. Sleek and glossy rose gold bullets teamed with pink matte tops and an almost Gothic font, they're beautiful and stand-out all in one. The lipsticks themselves have stunning embossing along the side that adds a lovely little detail, with 6 shades to choose from covering rose nudes to pinks, an eye-catching red and deeper berries perfect for autumn.

The formula is intensely creamy, lavish in fact, including Orchid extract, Corn Oil and Gotu Kola. They feel incredibly comfortable on the lip, staying creamy from application and throughout the day, they glide on effortlessly. The colour pay-off is just absolutely amazing, intense from just one swipe and with a beautiful finish that's soft and flattering, with a slight shine that makes lips look healthy and naturally plump. The longevity is another bonus, lasting hours and hours before needing to reapply.

I've been trying out 2 of the 6 shades available and I am smitten with both; one in particular has become one of my most reached for lipstick shades of the past couple of months. 01 Lusty Peony is my favourite of the two and actually featured in my most recent monthly favourites (see here). It's a beautiful warm nude with rose undertones and goes with absolutely any look you can imagine. 04 Mild Sangria is brighter, sexier and more eye-catching. A delicious berry pink that is perfect for a day-time autumn lip. The entire shade range looks beautiful and if I was to add another shade to my beauty stash to join Lusty Peony and Mild Sangria, I would definitely be checking out 06 Melodious Wine which looks like the most perfect winter shade.

Once again KIKO have massively impressed me. You can check out the full Intensely Lavish Lipstick range and Rebel Romantic Collection both in-store and online at www.kikocosmetics.com

    1. The formula is SO good, isn't it? Really so impressed - I hope they expand the range too and don't keep it just for the Rebel Romantic Collection, these need to be permanent xo

    1. As far as I am aware there are only a couple of KIKO stores, most are in London. But you can order online and they frequently do free delivery offers, too :) xo
