I've only placed a couple of Sephora orders since UK shipping was made available, but it's probably the website I lust over the most. I just love the variety of both high-end and high-street brands with every aspect of beauty covered in one handy place. Personally, I think the shipping is super reasonable - you can find out more about how much shipping to the UK costs in my first Sephora haul here - and it's become a site I order from a couple of times a year.
Over the past few months I have been finding it seriously hard to resist making a Sephora order, but with a baby on the way I can't justify a £100+ spend on beauty products anymore. Of course, when presented with the opportunity to get in on a friend's Sephora order and order a few bits, that was too hard to resist, and I allowed myself a teeny tiny Sephora splurge picking up some products I've had my eye on for a while as well as some products from Sephora own ranges that I have become a huge fan of over the past year.
Back in my very first Sephora haul I picked up the coveted Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper. Months later that very same liner is still going strong, the best liquid eyeliner I have ever used. Knowing that Kat Von D is a winner when it comes to eye liners, I decided to pick up the Kat Von K Ink Liner Trio which is a set of three half-size liquid liners in three perfect shades; Trooper which is a true jet black and the liner I already use in full size, Hemingway which is an espresso brown and Baudelaire which is a purple navy shade. The full size liner costs $19 which is a pretty reasonable £12.53 and the set cost just $25, which is £16.48. Not bad for three liquid liners! I haven't used these yet, as I want to finish up the liquid liners I am currently using before starting these, but I'm really excited to have a back up Trooper and even more excited to try Hemingway and Baudelaire as an alternative to the black liner look I go for most days.
I am absolutely obsessed with Sephora's own beauty range and in particular, two liquid lipsticks which I am absolutely smitten with and have started to build quite the little collection of; the Sephora Rouge Infusion Lip Stain range and the Sephora Cream Lip Stain range. Picking the shades for my little order was so hard, as I could happily order every shade from both ranges if I could justify the splurge! In the end I opted for the Rosewood Rouge Infusion Lip Stain (which of course, always makes me think of Pretty Little Liars - any other PLL fans out there?!) and the Marvellous Mauve Cream Lip Stain, both of which I have been wearing non-stop ever since.
Now, when I was picking the shades I didn't realise quite how similar they would be in person, but these are pretty darn similar shades. The Rouge Infusion line is sheerer in formula and a subtle shine finish. Rosewood is a very flattering nude with rosy undertones, it's perfect for everyday wear and has quickly become one of my favourite ever lipsticks. Marvellous Mauve is more intense, as is the nature of the Cream Lip Stain range. A truly opaque finish which dries to a beautiful matte that's comfortable on the lip, Marvellous Mauve is a deeper, warmer nude. Almost like the liquid version of MAC Mehr, which is one of my favourite MAC shades. Both are heavenly though, and although they are similar, I'm so glad I picked them to add to my ever-growing collection of Sephora own makeup. Both the Rouge Infusion Lip Stains and the Cream Lip Stains cost $14, which is £9.23, so not too bad for liquid lipsticks, especially considering the incredible quality for Sephora own products.
A mini Sephora haul, but enough to keep me going for a while. I think when it comes to January I'm going to find it very hard to resist, especially with the post-Christmas beauty sales! Have you placed a Sephora order recently? Or maybe you've been lucky enough to go in-store? Here's hoping they stick to their teasing tweets and open a UK store soon....
