10 Years of Lily Lolo Mineral Makeup

Cruelty-free Lily Lolo Mineral Makeup Products
Today's post is very exciting for two reasons. The first reason? It celebrates 10 wonderful years of Lily Lolo, a mineral makeup brand which creates beautiful, pigmented and effective cruelty-free products. The second? The perfect excuse to share 3 of my new favourite Lily Lolo products with you all, that are perfect examples of why Lily Lolo is the brand everyone needs to add to their to-try list.
Correct and conceal with the Lily Lolo Eye Primer

The Lily Lolo Laid Bare Eye Palette for neutral everyday eyes

A perfect base for shadow and great for neutralising skin-tone is the compact Lily Lolo Eye Primer (£8.99), which is very different from your everyday eye primer you might be used to. Presented in a very sleek dual compact with mirror, it's great for on-the-go but also takes up minimal space in your beauty stash. Working as a corrector and concealer, you have a nude shade which works to neutralise skin-tone and discolouration whilst the lemon shade works to correct any darker areas. The Eye Primer has been specifically designed to help extend the longevity of your shadows whilst keeping them crease-free throughout the day.

The consistency is a very firm cream, with one swipe of each shade being enough per lid. I find this works particularly well when using a loose mineral shadow, as well as wonderful when teamed with pressed shadows. Especially lovely when I've struggled to get a good night's sleep and my eyes can have a demonic red glow - the lemon shade evens skin-tone perfectly!

A product which I use on an almost daily basis now as the perfect finishing touch to any look is the Lily Lolo Mineral Shimmer (£13.49) which has quickly become not only one of my favourite Lily Lolo products, but one of my favourite mineral makeup products of all time. A super fine loose powder, Mineral Shimmer creates a beautiful shimmering finish that can be used to add the most perfect subtle highlight to cheekbones and any areas on your face you want to add a touch of light, whilst also being suitable for use on your body such as your lightly dusted along your d├ęcolletage.

On my olive complexion it works in a very similar way to light reflecting finishing powders, such as the cult favourites from Hourglass Ambient Lighting range. The finish is incredibly subtle, something I can easily use on all areas of my face where I'd usually use light-reflecting highlighters, but if I to achieve a more intense finish it can also be built up very easily. I just think it adds such a nice touch to my makeup look and has become a product I turn to most days; it gives a very healthy and radiant look. With 6g of product, I see this lasting absolutely forever!

If you're a regular reader of Tattooed Tealady you will know that I am a complete sucker for eyeshadow and love experimenting with my eyes more than any other aspect of makeup. A beautiful neutral everyday eye palette comes in the form of the Lily Lolo Laid Bare Eye Palette (£19.99), another product which has quickly made it's way to the top of the pile of favourite mineral products. It's beautiful!

The palette houses 8 beautiful shades, perfect for everything from an everyday wearable look to a more sultry evening eye. There's a lovely mix of matte, demi-matte and shimmer shades, each created with the most buttery soft mineral powder formula. The pigmentation is phenomenal and a little goes such a long way, so although this palette is smaller in size than a lot of palettes you can pick up for £20 nowadays, it will undoubtedly last such a long while making it an investment worth making.

Like many eyeshadow palettes, the shades start with the more nude neutrals working through to the deeper, warmer and more sultry shades you'd expect to see. Starting with the nudey-pink shades in the palette we have Stark Naked which is a really pretty nude pinky beige, Au Naturel  is a favourite of mine for the inner corner, a stunning brightening pink nude, Skinny Dip is a pale beige with rose gold undertones and Shy Away is a stand-out taupe with rosy tones running through. Onto the more stand-out and warmer shades in the palette we have the absolutely delicious Lady Godiva, a beautiful rich gold, followed by Birthday Suit which is a really stunning grey brown that has just the tiniest hint of chocolate. Exhibitionist is a very pretty olive brown which works so well as a wash of colour over the lids, with the Laid Bare Eye Palette being perfectly finished off with Exposed, a lovely charcoal black.

Lily Lolo have a really beautiful selection of products, a brand I have used for a couple of years now whose products never let me down. These are just a small selection of my current favourites from Lily Lolo, a brand I think everyone should be adding to their beauty stash!

Happy 10 years Lily Lolo, here's to 10 more!
