Clarins | The Autumn Make-Up Collection 2015

It's that time of year again where my favourite season is just around the corner and all the beautiful autumn makeup collections are making their way onto beauty counters and into makeup collections.

Clarins collections always steal my heart and for years, their seasonal collections have been the collections I look forward to the most. There's something about Clarins which always stands out for me, with their classic gold packaging and beautiful colours teamed together to perfectly fit the time of year. The quality of Clarins products is always extremely high, a brand whose products never let me down. I often feel that Clarins is still viewed as a brand for the more mature women with a passion for beauty, but I have been using Clarins for many years now and there are a brand who truly does cater to all ages with timeless packaging, incredible formulas and beautiful colour pay-off. If you're yet to give Clarins a try, the autumn collection is the perfect opportunity to give this brand a try.

The Clarins Autumn Collection comprises of everything from eyeshadows, both individual and palettes, to eyebrow pencils, eyeliners and lipsticks all in shades perfect for transitioning from summer to autumn. With brand new products and shades, this autumn's collection has been created with a natural look in mind, comprising of beautiful soft beige and nudes to fresh pinks for a subtle daytime look, with more sultry and intense smoky purples and a captivating carbon black to take looks from day to night. I adore experimenting with my eye makeup and this collection focuses on eyes with a gorgeous array of products, I couldn't wait to get stuck in!

One of my favourite ranges from Clarins is the Ombre Matte Cream-to-Powder Matte Eyeshadow (£16.70) range, which I am happy to see included in the autumn collection with two beautiful shades, 07 Carbon and 08 Heather. If you haven't tried the Ombre Matte range before, they are basically heaven in a pot. Incredibly soft cream-to-powder eyeshadows which utilise Bamboo Powder to create lightweight shadows which apply smoothing, feeling comfortable on the lid and blend super easily, with lasting power that stops them creasing throughout the day. The matte finish is soft, flattering, very wearable on an everyday basis but can also be spruced up with other shadows and finishes to complete a look.

Carbon is a super intense carbon black with the slightest fine silver glitter running through it, although I think it is more subtle on the eye than it looks in the pot itself. Heather is by far my favourite of the two, a truly beautiful lavender taupe. Heather not only works wonderfully when teamed with other shadows such as Carbon through the crease, but it's also a shade I think I'll be turning to a lot through autumn for a wash of colour over the lids, as it's just such a truly beautiful shade that is incredibly flattering when worn alone with a smudged liner on the upper lid.

Admittedly I'm not a fan of eyebrow pencils; I simply can't make them work for me, but for those of you who prefer pencils to powders, gels and waxes, the Clarins Eyebrow Pencil (£14.95) which is available in 3 shades. Described as the perfect product for taming unruly brows, as a dual-ended pencil with a spiral brush for grooming and taming, or for simply redefining shape with ease with the firm texture of the pencil with creates a precise application.

I've always adored the Clarins Rouge Eclat Lipstick (£17.15) range and I'm a big fan of the two shades released for the autumn collection; 21 Tawny Rose and 22 Red Paprika. With absolutely beautiful packaging, the Rouge Eclat lipsticks offer lovely colour pay-off with a creamy soft formula that glides on with ease, coupled with the benefits of skincare by working to protect lips and visibly minimise the appearance of fine lines. With Clarins Nutri-Youth Complex, which works to protect against dehydration as well as boosting collagen, alongside Vitamin E which protects from free radicals and 100% plant waxes of Mimosa, Jojoba and Sunflower which provide instant comfort on the lips, these are more than your standard lipsticks and a range I highly recommend checking out.

Tawny Rose is for me, the more wearable shade of the two. It's a warm rose nude which would work well both day and night and is the shade out of the two which I see working with a wider variety of complexions. Red Paprika is one I'll be turning to more for evening wear, as it's a very elegant red with a touch of paprika undertones that gives it a warm and spicy look.

  5. I love the colour of those lipsticks! Clarins is a brand I haven't used before and I always feel they're too pricey to risk trying a product and possibly not liking it. I definitely need to get a lipstick though!

    1. Get yourself to a Clarins counter and have a play around with the products. The quality really is absolutely stunning and I personally think they could easily be much higher priced for the quality that they have xo
