Beauty Crowd Haul + Swatches

A picture of beauty products from Milani, L.A. Girl and Jordana available at Beauty Crowd
If there's one thing I wish the UK beauty scene had, it is easier access to American brands. There's a few websites I've shared in the past where you can get American brands, such as Cocktail Cosmetics and Beauty Chamber, but I've recently added another to my list that has a few brands I've been eager to try, as well as a brand I've tried before and been wanting to try more products from for years. After placing a recent beauty haul and being pretty darn impressed with the selection of brands, products and super-fast delivery, I thought it was only fair to share a little haul with you all (and make myself less guilty for buying makeup, obvs).

The website in question is of course Beauty Crowd, who seem to be getting more and more popular among beauty bloggers and most excitingly, are on a mission to get more and more American brands that all of us makeup obsessives are eager to try, onto their website for us all to indulge in (Color Pop, I'm looking at you!).

The reason I decided to make an order was Milani, a brand who I've tried before in the form of the beautiful Baked Blush in Luminoso, and ever since I have craved more of their products. Milani Rose D'Oro Baked Blush has been on my wishlist for years now and spotting it on the Beauty Crowd website was all the persuasion I needed to place an order. A stunning rose blush with golden undertones and that shimmering luminescent finish that is akin to Milani Baked Blushes, Rose D'Oro is everything I hoped it would be and more. I've adored using it this past week or so, on those few sunny days we've been lucky to get, but I think this one will be even more perfect come autumn as a subtle way to warm the cheeks. I suspect it won't be long until I end up ordering every shade in the range, my favourite brand for baked blushes - and at £6, they won't break the bank, either.

More lip products is the last thing my makeup stash needs, but my Beauty Crowd haul is definitely heavy on the lip products! I was really excited to spot Jordana on the Beauty Crowd website, a brand I often see raved about from my favourite budget American YouTubers, and the Modern Matte Lipstick range seemed right up my street. I opted for Matte Adorable which is a lovely soft baby pink with blue undertones that has a subtle vibrancy without being too vivid, so great for everything from daytime wear to the finishing touch to a night time look. At £3.50 it's a bit of a bargain lipstick, and there's definitely a few more shades in the range which have caught my eye; it won't be long until I add Matte Bare to my matte lipstick stash.

Liquid lacquers seem to be my absolute favourite for a bold lip recently and after falling in love with Sephora's very budget-friendly options, I jumped at the chance to try some more budget-friendly brands to see how their liquid lipsticks compared to my high-end favourites. Milani of course instantly caught my eye when checking out the vast array of liquid lacquers available on Beauty Crowd, and as I haven't tried any Milani lip products before I decided to order the Lip Intense Liquid Colour in Red Extreme; a bold red with cherry undertones, at a pretty affordable £6. With a doe-foot applicator it has a very creamy texture and reminds me of the Sephora Cream Lip Stain range, which I adore. Long-lasting, highly pigmented, a soft demi-matte finish and it even has a delicious sweet vanilla scent that makes the perfect finishing touch.

Of course one liquid lacquer wasn't enough, and when I spotted L.A. Girl, another brand I see regularly reviewed by my favourite American beauty gurus, I decided to try Coy and Pin-Up from the Glazed Lip Paint range, which is getting a lot of love recently. The shade range for this line is incredible with so many beautiful shades on offer and at a super reasonable £4, I can honestly say I was overwhelmed with the quality of these beauties when I gave them a try. Although application requires a lip brush for a precise finish, due to their squeezy tube design more akin to a lip salve, the colour pay-off with this range is phenomenal; real pops of vivid colour that gives a real beautiful opaque finish in just one application. There's a slightly glazed gloss finish, yet they manage to last really well throughout the day. Coy is an eye-catching purple with lavender undertones and Pin-Up is the perfect true red.

I think this could be the beginning of a long-term love affair with Beauty Crowd...

    1. Yes I think the E.l.f. aspect has gone :) Personally I think that's a good thing as E.l.f. isn't very good quality at all, I much prefer the move they've made to high-quality budget-friendly brands from both the UK and America xo

    2. I agree. I like some ELF products, but in general its not a great brand. Their brushes are awful. I bought three of them and they all fell apart in a couple of months. A lot of people rave about ELF being amazing, but its not x

    3. Completely agree. I've done my fair share of E.l.f. orders over the years, especially as they do a lot of 50% off offers etc. Yet I am always disappointed with the things I buy, I end up throwing everything out after a couple of months! xo
