I've fallen in love, and her name is Marilyn.
After trying the Daniel Sandler Sculpt & Slim-Effect Contour Face Powder (£24.50), which I fell utterly in love with, I became really curious about other products in the Daniel Sandler range. It's not very often I see reviews of Daniel Sandler, in fact there's just one YouTuber who springs to mind when I think of Daniel Sandler reviews and that's Amelia Liana.
I began to explore the range, adoring the packaging and design of products, but also pretty surprised by just how well priced the range is. I expected the products to be way more expensive than they were, and realising the range was in my budget soon left me with a long lust-list of products I wanted to try.
I'm a complete sucker for a matte lipstick, for me it's by far my favourite finish for a lipstick and my lipstick stash is predominately matte. When I saw Marilyn, I knew I had to have it. A stunning vivid orange with red undertones, Marilyn is one of the most wearable vibrant shades I have ever come across. It's bold, stand-out and utterly beautiful.
Presented in a sleek black bullet with the gold Daniel Sandler logo, it has that satisfying 'click' that I love with lipsticks. A creamy yet firm formula, it glides on effortlessly providing opaque colour in just one application, so intense that you don't necessarily need a lip liner although I do prefer to wear lip liners with bold shades like this. The matte finish is perfect; flattering without feeling heavy, no tightness as the day goes on and no cracking or drying throughout the day. It has wear-enhancing polymers which boost the longevity and help keep that feathered and faded look at bay. Add to that skin-loving and moisturising ingredients of Shea Butter, Illipe Butter, Hyalurnic Acid, Vitamin A, C and E, Avocado and Jojoba Oils, you have a pretty perfect and powerful lipstick.
I am smitten with Marilyn, with my eye on the other shades in the Luxury Matte range as well as a few shades from the other lipstick ranges on offer from Daniel Sandler; the Luxury Lipstick, Micro-Bubble and High Impact Lipstick ranges have some gorgeous shades that I plan on adding to my collection soon.
Have you tried Daniel Sandler makeup before? Do you love a bold and bright lip like me? The Luxury Matte Lipstick range costs £13.25, available at www.escentual.com.
