Lush Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub

I recently shared my thoughts on the super-pretty Lush Hello Gorgeous Gift Set (see here), and one of the products featured inside was Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub. I've wanted to try Rub Rub Rub for years, and I really don't know why it's taken me so long to give it a try.

Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub is a beautiful bright blue scrub that is probably one of my favourite Lush products for how cheerful and unique it looks. All my other body scrubs are pretty plain appearance wise, none as bright and colourful as Rub Rub Rub! A body scrub that also doubles up as a cleansing and volumising shampoo, it's packed with mineral-rich Sea Salt and can be used on either damp skin, or for a more intense scrub, directly onto dry skin too. Using Sea Salt, known for its natural antiseptic properties, alongside Lemon Juice, it works to leave skin feeling softer and smoother, exfoliating away any rough areas and dead skin cells.

It has a pretty beautiful scent; fresh organic Lemon Juice, Orange Flower Absolute and Mimosa Absolute work together to create an uplifting and refreshing scent that's super fresh. The consistency of Rub Rub Rub is a lot finer than I expected; the Sea Salt inside is very fine, so it makes for a really gentle scrub that's still as effective as my more abrasive scrubs, but kinder to skin. It's such a gentle scrub that I'd say this was safe for those who suffer with sensitive skin - although you can always pop into your local Lush and ask for a little tester pot if you want to be sure! After one use my skin was left smooth, softer to the touch and the beautiful scent lingered for a while after use, too.

It's not the best scrub I've ever used; I'm pretty used to my more intensive scrubs, but it does the job well and is quick and easy to use in the shower. I'd pick up the full size when mine runs out, that's for sure! A 330g tub will cost you £8.75, which depending on how often you used it would probably last you a good 6-8 weeks.

Have you tried Rub Rub Rub before? Have you used it for both body and hair?

You can pick up Lush Rub Rub Rub in store and online at www.lush.co.uk.

    1. I agree, it leaves skin soft and smooth, but doesn't leave skin sensitive and dry as some more abrasive scrubs can xo

    1. It definitely gets the job done, but in a much gentler way than many scrubs would! xo

  8. I don't know how I feel about the Lush products that can be used in different ways, it's a bit like just pick one thing to be good at and stick with it ha! Although products like these are always useful for minimising packing.
