Now that spring is in full swing I've changed up my fragrances and scents, putting away the deeper, warmer and muskier scents I turn to in winter, swapping them for the lighter, refreshing, sweet and floral scents I love in spring.
Jo Malone Wild Bluebell is a really lovely scent, one of the more subtle scents in my fragrance collection, it is effortlessly feminine without being overpowering. It's a very delicate scent, with Persimmon, Lily of the Valley and Eglantine, a scent that lingers well throughout the day and can be layered with other Jo Malone scents. It's more on the pricey side at £40 for 30ml, but I definitely recommend checking Wild Bluebell out next time you're near a Jo Malone store or counter! Full review here.
L'Occitane have a beautiful selection of scents and one I love for springtime is the sweetly scented Magnolia & Mure Eau de Toilette, which costs £52 for a 75ml bottle. I'm a big fan of the bottle for this one, it's bold yet simplistic at the same time and the scent itself has a very lovely light berry look to it. With a sensual blend of flower and fruit, it is the perfect scent for transitioning from winter to spring; sweet, feminine, but with a beautiful depth that's subtly warming. From the Grasse Collection, it has scents of Magnolia, made with an essential oil from the Far East, alongside notes of wild and musky Blackberry with woody notes to finish. It's simply delicious, and also perfect for summer! Full review here.
Pretty much my favourite scent ever and one I will happily wear all year round is the incredible Diptyque Philosykos Eau de Toilette, which I own in both the 50ml which is £58 and 100ml which is £75. Diptyque is a very high-end brand, so they're not cheap, but for me this scent really evokes childhood memories and makes me think of Cyprus (where my family are from), so it's a very powerful fragrance for me. Scent wise it's just absolutely stunning; imagine fresh ripened figs, warmed by a hot Mediterranean sun. I dare you to try this when next near a Diptyque store or counter and not fall in love! Last but not least and one of my favourite fragrances for the beautiful scent and gorgeously designed bottle is Marc Jacobs Oh Lola! Eau de Parfum, which is £49 for 50ml. Seriously, how gorgeous is the bottle for this one? I love the way Marc Jacob fragrances are designed and this one always brightens my day! Oh Lola! is a lovely sweet feminine scent that is great for both spring and summer with top notes of Pear and Effervescent Raspberry, heart notes of Peony, Magnolia and Cyclamen and base notes of Sandalwood, Tonka Bean and Vanilla.
