3 Things that made me happy this week...
1. Giving Tattooed Tealady a much needed makeover; You might have noticed a little change when you came over to the blog today, as I have finally given Tattooed Tealady a much needed makeover! I've been debating about having a new template/theme for the blog for quite a while now but I am completely hopeless at HTML, so doing it myself was a definite no-no. After weeks of umming and ahhing I finally decided on a theme I wanted, and had it installed yesterday. What do you think to the new look? Personally I love it, I think everything looks much more sleek and professional and I adore the mobile look too (how do you read Tattooed Tealady - on a PC, tablet or mobile?), which is hopefully a lot easier for all my lovely mobile readers to navigate!
2. Spring has sprung; There has been gorgeous sunshine every day this week and although it's a little misleading as it's still been super cold outside, it has been so blooming lovely to have the sun shining and brightening up my day - and mood! Spring flowers are popping up everywhere and I've been filling the house with daffodils, adding some sunshine to the house too.
3. Music; I adore music, but I hardly make time to listen to music nowadays (also, because I'm completely addicted to Netflix, NowTV and YouTube and prefer getting on with my work whilst watching something). Tomorrow my partner and I are off to see one of our favourite bands, Placebo, so I've made sure over the past week to listen to all my favourite Placebo albums - on full blast, of course! Dancing around the house singing my heart out, I've felt like a teenager again. Bring on tomorrow's gig! Are you a Placebo fan too?
This week I was inspired by...
Fleur de Force. I pre-ordered her book, The Glam Guide, way back on Amazon and it was delivered as soon as it was released, but I've been so short on time that I hadn't had a chance to give it a proper read. This week I've read almost the entire book cover to cover and I just feel so incredibly inspired by what Fleur has achieved. It's a fantastic book and you can expect a full review soon - but if you're looking for a no-nonsense take on beauty, fashion and life, then I really recommend picking a copy up!
Divergent by Veronica Roth, Paperback £3.50, Kindle £3.32
I mentioned this one at the beginning of the month in my 'Reading in March' post, and I've finally started it over this weekend. I am completely and utterly addicted already! Honestly, I am so invested in this book already and already eager to read the entire trilogy. It's been so long since I got properly stuck into a trilogy and this one has captivated me from the get-go. Have you read Divergent?
I hope you've all had a fab week and a really lovely sunny weekend. I'd love to hear what you've been getting up to lately, and if you have any gigs coming up or books you think I should read, then let me know!
