Lancome Hypnose Mascara

It's not very often you'll catch me buying high-end mascaras, I think the high-street has some incredible mascaras on offer and so I'm usually swayed by the more purse-friendly options, but this one has me smitten.

Lancome isn't a brand I dabble in very often, I can count on one hand the amount of Lancome products I've tried over the years, two of which have been mascaras. There's something about Lancome mascaras that I just love, a big fan of the Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara and now an even bigger fan of the original Lancome Hypnose Mascara, too.

Formulated with a SoftSculpt system, Hypnose has been created to apply a supple formula using soft emollient waxes that are combined with a PC/PA Polymer system that can produce up to 6 times more volume, without any clumping whatsoever. With Vitamin B5 which aims to keep lashes soft and supple, Hynpose effortlessly coats lashes from base to tip whilst lengthening and volumising with ease. The wand is perfect; a Power Full brush with 1,000 'sensor bristles' which perfectly separates lashes as it applies, creating a more wide-eyed yet chic eye look whilst also managing to hold a curl well throughout the day. When I use this mascara I'm guaranteed to have perfect lashes from morning to night, with no smudging, smearing or clumping.

At £22.50 it's certainly not cheap, but I managed to snap this up in the post-Christmas sales for half the price, so it's always worth checking out the Lancome stand when there's an annual sale. I'm not sure I'd repurchase this at full price, but I'll be keeping an eye out for future offers and sales where I can grab it at a more purse-friendly price again!

Have you tried any Lancome mascaras? Are there any Lancome products you think are a must-haves that I should check out?

  1. It is my favorite mascara! I tried all high end mascaras, Chanel, YSL, Guerlain, Estee Lauder, Dior., Helena Rubinstein, Trish McEvoy, Kanebo, Clinique, Clarins. Always something is wrong or missing. Either volume or length, or fall out, or eyelashes leave marks on my upper eyelid, or silicone brushes make my lashes look too artificial and waxy. I am glad that I eventually tried this classic Hypnose (I read that other versions of it are worse). I saw online that there was a deep black limited edition recently, but I missed it. I hope they will launch deep black as a permanent sku, I would prefer it to the regular black color.
