The Empties #3

A picture of beauty products
It's been a while since I last shared an empties post, but I'm getting through products pretty darn quickly recently, so I thought it was about time to share my thoughts on the products I've finished recently!

I'm obsessed with The Body Shop right now. Everyday I turn to their products whether it be skincare, makeup, hair care or body care, a very prominent brand in my everyday routines. Lately I've been finishing up some limited edition products in my beauty stash, deciding that holding on to them just because they're limited edition is a bit silly. Last year I shared the limited edition Raspberry collection, and I've finally used them up! The Raspberry Body Butter was, like all The Body Shop Body Butters, divine and left my skin softer and hydrated with ease. The Raspberry Body Scrub was one of my favourite scrubs to use because it was super gentle in comparison to many scrubs in my stash, but still just as effective. Thankfully another new scent from last year which is permanent is the beautiful Honeymania range, and having recently finished up the Honeymania Body Butter, 200ml £13, it's gone straight on my 'to repurchase' list! The scent is by far one of my favourite from The Body Shop; a definite scent of delicious honey but subtle enough not to be sickly. If you're a fan of super-hydrating body products too, then you can check out my recent post 'An Ode to The Body Shop Body Butters'.

I've raved about the Neal's Yard Remedies White Tea Facial Mist, 45ml £11, more than a few times here on Tattooed Tealady, a product which lasted much longer than I ever expected. A facial mist which left my skin very happy, it has a gorgeous array of skin-loving ingredients such as  White Tea, Organic Aloe Vera, Organic Essential Oils and Bach Flowers. Definitely one I'll be repurchasing! You can check out my full review here, and it also featured in my Skincare Favourites of 2014 here.

I have the biggest pile of perfume samples and I've been trying to get through them, if anything to see whether they're worth a full size purchase. Jimmy Choo Flash Eau de Parfum, 30ml £30.99, has been on my wishlist ever since it's release and now I've tried a sample, I think I've finally been swayed to go for the full size. With Pink Pepper, Tangerine, Strawberry, White Flowers and Tuberose, it's one of the most beautiful scents I've ever tried; feminine, but with a masculine twist that gives it some oomph. Lovely. Another sample I've been using up is one which was included in a Birchbox, and I am completely smitten. English Laundry Signature For Her Eau de Parfum, 50ml £60, is a very feminine floral scent with Rose Geranium and White Flowers, with notes of wood, musk and spice. Although I adored this one - £60 is a bit much for my budget, so unfortunately I won't be purchasing this in full size.

Another Birchbox sample I've finished up is the Caudalie Divine Oil, 50ml £18. One of the best oils I've used for how it makes my skin feel, I used my sample of Divine Oil as a body oil - but it can also be used as a cuticle oil or even a hair oil! With the most stunning scent of Moroccan and Bulgarian Rose, Grapefruit, Vanilla and floral undertones, it left my skin smelling as delicious as it felt. I'd love to purchase the full size - but I have a few other body oils to get through first.

I go through hand creams like there's no tomorrow and a favourite of mine for years now that I always go back to is the L'Occitane Shea Butter Dry Skin Hand Cream, 30ml £8. Few hand creams leave my skin feeling as soft and hydrated as this, with a luxurious thick formula that sinks into skin with ease and a subtle Shea scent, it's just heavenly.

Last but not least, two products which leave my hair feeling amazing. I'm a big fan of the Macadamia Natural Oil range, adoring their coveted Deep Repair Mask, 250ml £23.95, but their shampoo and standard conditioner are just as good and leave my hair feeling just as lovely as their pampering mask. The Macadamia Natural Oil Rejuvenating Shampoo, 300ml £15.45, has a nourishing blend of Macadamia Oil and Argan Oil, perfect for dry, damaged and colour treated hair. Working to cleanse hair whilst replenishing moisture, it lathers up perfectly and leaves my hair feeling cleaner and softer. Followed with the Macadamia Natural Oil Moisturizing Rinse, 300ml £17.99, and you're guaranteed perfect, happy hair. It effortless softens and moisturises hair whilst reducing knots and tangles, leaving hair feeling softer, nourished and easier to manage. Plus, the Macadamia range smells incredible!

  2. The body shop is so amazing! I'm so bad at finishing products, I always get distracted by new shiny things before I use up what I have!

  3. One I my friends gave me a raspberry Body Shop gift bag a couple of years ago and the scrub was amazing - it was like rubbing jam on yourself, only considerably less sticky. I keep meaning to pick some up again.

  5. I need to get back into Body Shop, it's been a while since any of their products have been in my collection and I've heard so much about their stuff lately. I've finished a few things recently but nothing that stands out as a brilliant product unfortunately!

    1. At least you know that they're not worth the repurchase, which means you have the perfect excuse to buy more products until you find that perfect one ;) xo

  6. I love a lot of the Body Shop body butters, but was a little disappointed in the Honeymania scent. I normally love honey but I couldn't really detect it and found it sort of florally and perfumed.

    1. Ah no that's such a shame! I get a definite scent of honey in the one I had, and I really enjoyed it. Hopefully you'll find the perfect honey scented product soon :) xo

  7. I have so many TBS body butters to use up it's ridiculous! I'm trying to get in the habit of moisturising straight after my morning shower, otherwise I just can't be bothered... Oops xx

    1. Have you tried keeping your current moisturiser in the bathroom, and making yourself do it before leaving the bathroom? That's what I used to do when I was super forgetful about moisturising xo
