The Detangling Brushes

Although Denman will always be my go-to for hair brushes, I've found myself completely addicted to detangling brushes over the past year or so, so I thought it was about time I shared my favourite brands for keeping hair knot-free!

Michel Mercier Detangling Brush for Fin
e Hair, £7.99
There's three varieties of the Michel Mercier Detangling Brush, each covering a different type of hair; thick, medium and fine. I have the one which has been specifically designed for fine hair, in a pink and black design. With a handle and textured plastic casing, it's easy to hold and manoeuvre through your hair, gliding through with ease. My Michel Mercier brush lives in our bathroom, the first thing I reach for after a shower to make sure my hair stays knot and tangle free. A completely pain-free way of brushing hair, this is probably my favourite detangling brush as it's never snapped or caught my hair and works a charm at keeping my hair tangle free!

Tangle Teezer Metallic Gold Rush Compact Styler Instant Detangling Brush, £9.80
With a gold plated effect finish, appearances wise the Tangle Teezer Metallic Gold Rush Compact Styler is by far my favourite. Who doesn't love a bit of glam?! Perfect for popping in your handbag for on-the-go, it's great for keeping hair smooth and tangle free. My second dabble into Tangle Teezers, I originally really hated the Tangle Teezer and didn't get the hype at all, even going so far as to write a pretty negative review- Tangle Teezer - why it's NOT worth the hype! -, but the compact styler completely changed my mind. Much easier to hold and grip, it uses revolutionary teeth configuration for dual-action, pain-free detangling. It also comes with a pretty handy cover, so the teeth are protected when you're out and about, perfect!
You can check out my full review of the Tangle Teezer in my Feel Unique Hair Heroes Box review here.

Airmotion Hair Brush*, £11.95
Probably my most used and go-to detangling brush, I use my Airmotion every single day without fail. The easiest to grip and hold of all detangling brushes I've tried, it's been ergonomically designed to perfectly fit the contours of your hand, whilst being light-weight and easy to use. It's water resistant, too, meaning it can be used in the shower. Featuring a unique Tri-Bristle configuration alongside AirShock absorption technology, it's a pain-free way of keeping hair smooth and happy, with tangles removed with ease.

Do you use detangling brushes?

    1. Definitely! I always carry a small hair brush with me, but they get ruined so easily. Having a cover for it is a life-saver and such a brilliant idea xo

  4. I don't know how I brushed my wet hair before detangling brushes, I cringe at the thought of how much hair I tugged out!!
I couldn't go anywhere without my Tangleteezer, I love the compact one and it's so great how protected the bristles are in your bag.

    1. I haven't personally, but then again I'm kind of put off by the idea all together - Every time I spot one when out shopping, all I can think of is how much bacteria and yucky stuff must get stuff in there!! xo

  11. I got a Tangle Teezer towards the end of last year and I love it. My hair is quite thick and it always tangles at the back, which can get quite painful so my Tangle Teezer has made a huge difference for me.
