Origins United State Balancing Tonic

A picture of the Origins United State Balancing Tonic
Toner is one of those products that most people don't see the point in, but a step I have always had in my routine ever since I first started using skincare in my very early teens. Over the years I've made my way through quite a few, from both high-street and high-end brands. My skin just works better when I use toner, and on those few occasions I've skipped toner it's easy to see the effect it has on my skin, making me realise just how important toner is in a good skincare routine.

I picked up Origins United State Balancing Tonic £18.50 back in the summer, after lusting after it for quite a few months. My skin is an awkward combination between oily and dehydrated (which in turn, causes the oiliness), so anything which promises to help balance my skin is instantly going to grab my attention. United State has been used on me each time I've had an Origins facial (see here), and I really liked the way it made my skin feel so I decided it was about time I picked up the full size for at home.

Described as a tingly-cool, retexturising tonic which is suitable for all skin types and works to both purify and balance the skin. Exfoliating elements clear the skin of pore clogging debris whilst smoothing any rough spots, whilst Laminaria works to de-shine the t-zone without stripping the skin of important natural oils. There's Soy Protein in there too, which helps to protect the moisture levels in the skin preventing dehydration, creating a more refreshed, refined and balanced complexion. The scent is subtle and calming, with aromatic Bergamot, Spearmint and Lavender, and the bottle itself is fairly decent in size at 150ml.

I've been using United State in the evenings for around 4 weeks now, and continued use has seen this toner quickly shoot up to the top as one of my favourites. This time of year I usually find my skin getting drier and drier by the day, particularly on my cheeks and forehead, but United State seems to have kept the worst of it at bay. My skin feels more refined, my complexion looks more refreshed and revived, whilst any unwanted oiliness is easier to manage.

If you're looking for a toner that's kind to your skin whilst keeping it happy and healthy, give United State Balancing Tonic ago; it'll be a definite repurchase for me!
