A healthy start with #Alprotops

A healthy start with #Alprotops
It's no secret that I love a cooked breakfast and if you've been reading my blog for a while and spotted any of my weight-loss posts, you'll know it's a big part of my diet that I've been trying to change. Although it'd be nice to have a big cooked breakfast every morning, it's not a healthy option and isn't the best way to start your day. I've been trying to make cooked breakfasts a once-in-a-while treat, instead opting for healthier options each morning.

I've never been that into yoghurt. Being brought up on a predominately Mediterranean diet, Greek yoghurt was pretty much an everyday essential for us, which in turn put me off sweeter versions of yoghurt. Over the past year I've made a lot of small changes in my diet, and one of those changes is opting for foods I wouldn't necessarily have had before.

I was recently given the opportunity to try Alpro Tops alongside Alpro yoghurt's, and I think it's safe to say I am completely addicted! I hadn't tried much from Alpro before, in fact, just their coconut drink range, but since trying Alpro yoghurt's they've been a regular on our shopping list. Created using plant based ingredients, Alpro is a much healthier alternative to standard yoghurt's, with flavours which taste more natural (and utterly addictive). I've been trying Simply Plain, Vanilla, Strawberry and Rhubarb as well as Lemon and Lime. With a bit of a sweet tooth, Vanilla and Strawberry and Rhubarb are by far my favourites!

But what about the tops, I hear you ask? Alpro Tops are a great way to add some of your favourite toppings to your favourite Alpro yoghurt. There's tons of toppings on offer; 7 types of nut, 7 types of berries, 7 types of sweet toppings, 7 types of fruit, 7 types of spices, 7 types of seeds and 7 types of fibers. I've been trying Chia Seeds and Goji Berries, which over the past year have become regulars in my diet, as well as Pecan Nuts and Dark Chocolate Flakes.

My favourite? Strawberry and Rhubarb Alpro yoghurt, with Chia Seeds and Goji Berries. The yoghurt itself has the loveliest natural tasting flavour, with the sweetness of ripe strawberries and the just right bitterness of the rhubarb. If like me you've never been the biggest fan of yoghurts, give Alpro a try. I've honestly been amazed at how much I like the different yoghurt's within the range, and the Vanilla yoghurt is particularly lovely on it's own or with some chocolate flakes on top. The tops are a great way to liven up what would otherwise be a plain yoghurt - and a great way to get some more essential vitamins, minerals and general goodness into you.

We'll definitely be stocking up on Alpro Tops, as I happily turn to Alpro yoghurt's most days of the week now. I honestly never expected to like them so much - but we get at least two pots which each food shop now (usually Strawberry and Rhubarb and Vanilla!)

What would your favourite #AlproTops be?
