It's a day of beauty boxes here on Tattooed Tealady and earlier today I shared the 'Happy Days!' September Birchbox (see here) - now it's time to share my thoughts on a limited edition beauty box, which is available for a super limited time whilst stocks last. And trust me, it's one box you don't want to miss out on!
The Glamour Beauty Power List 2014 Beauty Box* (£15.99) is the latest collaboration between Latest in Beauty and Glamour, with a total worth of £83.47 with seven high-street and high-end products, as well as an amazing offer for 62% off of a one year subscription to Glamour digital edition, for iPhone and iPad users. Each of the products inside the box have been selected personally by the Glamour Beauty Director, Alessandra Steinherr, products that stand out from the crowd as best-sellers and products which meet all of their claims and more.
First up and the most exciting product for me by far, is a huge 30ml Laura Mercier Foundation Primer (50ml, £29) which I thought was a full size, but I can't seem to find a 30ml of the standard primer online (correct me if I'm wrong!). It promises to create the perfect base for a flawless finish with all-day staying power. I've been trying a sample of the Laura Mercier Oil-Free Foundation Primer (30ml, £19) and was planning to buy the full size, but now I don't have to! I just hope this one works just as well with my oily skin as the oil-free version.
I'm a huge fan of the coveted Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser (100ml, £14.75) and I received a 30ml travel size including a Liz Earle Muslin Cloth, which is perfect for travelling and weekends away. It's a cleanser I always return to, and deserves all the rave reviews it gets. Really recommend giving this hero product a try!
I was really excited to see the Philip Kingsley Daily Damage Defence Conditioning Spray (250ml, £22) as I've loved all the Philip Kingsley products I've tried so far. I received a fairly decent 60ml travel size, a leave-in protective conditioning spray that works to defend your hair against the damage caused by heat, styling and breakage. Smells lovely, too! Can't wait to give it a try.
I already own a couple of the Maybelline Color Sensational Nude Lipsticks (£6.99) (see here) and the Color Sensational range in general is my top choice for drugstore lipsticks (see here). They have the most perfect creamy soft formula with opaque colours and incredible longevity, with a formula that sits well and feels comfortable on the lips. The shade I received is 710 Sultry Sand, which is a touch too pale for me so I'll be passing it onto a friend. I really couldn't recommend these Maybelline lipsticks enough though - they're amazing!
I'm personally not a makeup-wipe user, and reserve them just for cleaning makeup packaging. My skin just doesn't work well with them, so I'll also be passing on the Eyeko Mascara Off Eye Makeup Remover Wipes (10 wipes, £6) to a friend, too. They promise to easily remove even the most elaborate of eye makeup, with 100% cotton pads which contain Olive Oil and Aloe Extract to soothe and condition.
I have been wanting to try the newest mascara launches from Bourjois for a while now, so I'm chuffed that the Power List includes the Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara (£9.99). Promising to instantaneously provide 360' volume with a unique brush for clump free, definited, va-va-voom lashes. Expect a review very soon!
The final product inside The Glamour Beauty Power List 2014, is from a brand I have wanted to try for at least a year now. With a generously sized 25ml sample, I can't wait to try the James Read Sleep Mask Tan (200ml, £40) which I've seen countless rave reviews of. Designed to combine the hydrating effects of a facial with a healthy dose of self-tan, you pop it on before bed and wake up with beautiful sun-kissed skin (or that's the plan, anyway). I will be giving this a try over the weekend, cannot wait!
The products included are amazing and except for a couple which are better suited to friends and family, I am so happy with every product and can't wait to give everything a try. If you'd like to see a specific review of any of the products featured, let me know! The Glamour Beauty Power List 2014 is limited edition, and I wouldn't be surprised if it sells out quick, so make sure to order yours soon. Let me know what you think to the selection of products, and whether you've tried and love any of the products included!
