REN SATIN PERFECTION BB CREAM REVIEW

A picture of REN Satin Perfection BB Cream
If you have naturally oily skin, finding a dewy base to work with your skin can be a real challenge. I've tried countless bases which promise dewy skin, but just don't work with my oily skin type. That was until the REN Satin Perfection BB Cream* (50ml, £26) came into my life. Finally, I can achieve the dewy base I've always wanted, without worrying about my oily skin playing up and turning me into a melted mess throughout the day. But what's so special about Satin Perfection?

Using adaptive colour technology, Satin Perfection is silicone free and is only available in one shade as it stands; Light - Medium. The colour adjusting technology does mean that this will work for most complexions, however I wouldn't advise it for anyone with a much darker complexion than my own. It contains Bio Extracts of Flurophores, from Noni Extract which works to boost elastin, tone and firm skin, Antileukine, from Ochroleuca Seaweed which protects against UV damage, Tocotrienols. from Arctic Cranberry Seed Oil which is a wonderful anti-oxidant, and Magnesium from Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Glycogen from Marine Glucose and Vitamin C, which work to revitalise and boost radiance. If that wasn't enough, it also offers photo-rejuvenation technology which works to help tone, firm and provides an anti-ageing effect.

The formula itself is fairly thick for a base, particularly a BB cream, but it's super creamy, light-weight and easy to blend. It works well with both foundation brushes or fingers, effortlessly creating a flawless base, evening skintone and providing a natural looking luminosity with a non-oily, satin finish. For me, it leaves my skin looking naturally flawless - my uneven complexion is sorted within seconds, the finish is exceptionally flattering and the dewy finish is just subtle enough to look natural. When I were the Satin Perfection BB Cream, my skin looks and feels happy, I very rarely need to powder and it has fab longevity, even managing to keep my oily skin at bay. We all lust after flawless skin, and this is the perfect everyday base for achieving just that.

  1. Do you go with foundation on top? I've been using Stila's Beauty Balm and I go without! Amazing!

    1. No, never! If I'm applying a BB or a CC cream, that's more than enough. It seems pointless to apply a BB/CC then a foundation on top and this creates such a beautiful finish with good coverage, that it's fine on it's own :) xo

  2. Oh my gosh! This is just what I’m after for my holiday next week! My skin has turned on me and it has gone from being really dry, to combination! I have never had oily skin before now and feel a little lost as what to buy, as the majority of my products are for dry skin!

  4. I'm in love with Yes to Grapefruit CC cream. It evens out my skin so well that I don't wear foundation on top at all any more. Plus it smells amazing :)
