Benefit have added two new products to they're They're Real! range, and they're launching today...

They're Real! all started with the now world famous and highly coveted They're Real! Mascara*, which has time and time again claimed the top spot for the best-selling mascara in the UK. I'm personally quite a fan of They're Real!, although not my top mascara, it's a great everyday go-to and one I can always rely on. Working to easily separate, lengthen and hold a curl (if I've remembered to use my eyelash curlers!), this is a tough mascara that lasts all day long. I'd actually adore a brown version, but for now it's only available in black. If They're Real! sounds like something you would love to try, I'd recommend checking out your local Boots who sell travel size versions at half the price, which last just as long!

With a fantastically fun and interactive #CriminallyEasy campaign, bloggers and beauty adorers alike have been patiently waiting for the release of Benefit They're Real! Push-Up Liner and They're Real! Remover. There's been quite the beauty buzz! I've been lucky to try out both new products over the past few months, and one I like, one I love.

The biggest buzz, without a doubt, has been around the They're Real! Push-up Liner*. There's no denying it's an innovative and unique product, one I've been really excited about. I love gel liners, second to liquid as my favourite type of liner to use. But pots and brushes can be awkward to travel with, not simply having one product but needing two things, one which is glass and one a brush which needs to be kept clean. The idea of a gel liner in a pen is simply amazing, and I don't know why someone hasn't thought of this before. With a unique Benefit Accuflex Wide Pointed Tip, which is flexible; making it easy to use and follow the shape of your eye and lash line, whilst also being angled, to apply product precisely and neatly, it's unlike any pen-liner I've tried before. Presented in a twist-up pen similar to those of eye brighteners and concealers, I really love the design and packaging. It's super bold yet chic and dominant at the same time; black, silver and vibrant orange. I love how pigmented it is, with a truly deep jet black. The longevity is fantastic too, one of those perfect doesn't budge all day products.

It's not all positives for me though, with a couple of things which really let this product down for me. I found after a few uses, the product was far drier and thicker in consistency than I like for gel liners. I found it difficult to do my usual bold, thick liner with my favourite curvy flicks, finding the product would clump and dry, falling onto my lashes. It's fantastic for getting incredibly close to the lash line and I've found simple liner far easier to do every time. The Accuflex tip is amazing and I love the entire concept, but for me it needs to be a touch thinner in consistency. I'm going to keep trying with this one, as I do really love the product overall, and I'm hoping to see more shades available in the future!

The star product of the two newbies to join the They're Real! ranks for me, is easily the They're Real! Remover* which has far surpassed my high beauty expectations and become an absolute favourite. Created as a response to feedback from Benefit customers that the mascara was too difficult to remove at the end of the day, Benefit have formulated a beautiful cream-balm hybrid eye makeup remover that effortlessly dissolves and removes makeup. I'm not just talking your bog-standard cream remover, this beauty can budge even the most waterproof of products, including mascaras and liners of any formula. It's amazing. Like a creamy version of a good balm cleanser, that's soft and gentle on both your skin and lashes, this doesn't sting if I happen to get it in my eyes. It's in a gorgeous black tube with the same theme as the liner, and the tube itself is pretty decent at 50ml. I am so happy with this remover, honestly. It's been years since I used anything but a bi-phase makeup remover for my eyes, and this has beaten all of them.

What do you think to the new They're Real! additions? I genuinely couldn't recommend the remover enough, and if you're more skilled than me with liner, then I'd say give it a go. The Benefit They're Real! Liner is priced at £18.50, the remover at £14.50. Both are available from Look Fantastic, Feel Unique, Debenhams, Boots, House of Fraser, John Lewis and the official Benefit website. They'll also be available at Benefit counters and flagship stores nationwide!

  1. I have to admit I am with you in the consistency I find it very thick I just posted up my review about it myself and even though the idea of it is amazing I think if Benefit made the gel a little thinner it would be perfect :)

  2. I think I'll be giving the eyeliner a miss as it doesn't really appeal to me. However the eye makeup remover sounds lovely. I do find some mascaras really difficult to remove so I think I'll have to give this a go at some point. I also really love the They're Real Mascara and would definitely repurchase it in the future. xo

  3. I am drawn to try the eyeliner as I just cannot hack gel eyeliner and I would really love to, and it's supposed to be really easy to get the cat eye look with it x

  6. very excited to get my hands on the eyeliner when pay day comes. I didn't really like the mascara because it didn't come in a waterproof formula but this looks really promising!

  8. Great review! I love the look of the liner, I find winged liner so hard to do so this would be amazing for me! It's a shame it dried and clumps a little though! Hopefully they will find a way to combat that!

  13. The Criminally Easy campaign has been everywhere! So many people have hyped up the eyeliner so I'm glad you've pointed out a few negatives too which is helpful. The best tutorial/review I've seen was by Kandee Johnson who suggests using a tiny amount of the liner so it doesn't get too thick, not sure if that would help...? Great review :)

  14. I love make-up but I have to say I've never really been a Benefit fan. I'm not not a fan but I just don't LOVE it! Very cool product names though! :-)

  15. Although I’m a little tempted to see what all the hype is about, I have just recently found one very similar from Maybelline. I have just written review over on my blog.
