Last night I had the pleasure of spending an evening with some lovely local bloggers at Crabtree & Evelyn, Nottingham, for the fabulous #CrabtreeHandyTips event. You might have seen a few posts about these events popping up from some of your favourite local bloggers, as the events are held nationwide at Crabtree & Evelyn stores, a fantastic event which encourages everyone to share their favourite and best beauty tips, handed down from generation to generation, friend to friend.
When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the lovely Nottingham Crabtree & Evelyn team, who throughout the evening were so welcoming, full of fab product knowledge and tips. We were introduced to the super pretty #CrabtreeHandyTips tree, where customers had already started leaving some of their favourite handed-down tips. Each of us added our own little beauty tips onto the tree, and the tip I shared was to ensure you look after your feet as much as your hands! We often forget to pamper and preen our feet, when they are one of the hardest working parts of our body. I love indulging in a night time pamper, and I always remember to include my feet with a touch of cuticle oil and a deeply nourishing and hydrating foot balm or lotion. What's your handy tip?
Once we shared our beauty tips, we were left to explore the huge range of luxurious products on offer from Crabtree & Evelyn. I was like a Magpie, trying everything which caught my eye! I'm a huge fan of the La Source range, particularly the La Source Hand Therapy (£11.86) which has always been a favourite for leaving my hands feeling soft as silk, so first off I was straight over to check out the other products in the range! I really love the look of the La Source Intensive Cuticle & Nail Therapy (£7.51) which I gave a little try, and has already been added to my wishlist.
There were a lot of products on offer which I didn't realise Crabtree & Evelyn even made. A huge array of food and tea related goodies, with some really beautiful packaging that I gravitated towards (no surprise there), a really stunning display of Father's Day perfect gifts (I particularly loved the Sandalwood scented range) and some incredible fragrances. I was particularly taken by the phenomenal Crabtree & Evelyn Ottoman Rose Eau de Parfum which is one of the most incredible rose scents I have ever tried. With top notes of Rose, Blackberry and White Pepper, heart notes of Taif Rose, Saffron Flower and Carnation as well as base notes of Sandalwood, Vintage Leather and Tonka, Ottoman Rose is one of the most sensuous rose scents I've come across. A touch out of my price range at £140 for 100ml, this is going on the 'one day when I'm rich' wishlist; check it out if you're in store, this scent has really blown me away!
Throughout the evening we were offered the opportunity to try some of the perfect hand-pampering products on offer at Crabtree & Evelyn with hand scrubs and hand massages. I'd given myself a cheeky pamper earlier in the day, including a hand scrub, so I opted out of having a pamper and instead listened closely whilst Charlotte (Charlotte Louise Thompson) had hers. There's some stunning scents in the hand scrub range (I've got my eye on Pomegranate!), and I learnt that we should only scrub our hands with an exfoliator two to three times a week, as more than that can be damaging and strip our skin of natural oils. A very handy tip to pick up!
A huge thank you to Crabtree & Evelyn and everyone at the Nottingham store, it was such a lovely evening and fantastic to share tips and advice! Not forgetting the lovely fellow local bloggers who were there, be sure to check them out! Charlotte (Charlotte Louise Thomspon), Gemma (Beautiful Things), Becki (The Explorer), Amber (Lovely Little Things), Sally (Rainydayfaces), Emma (Dino's Beauty Diary), Hannah (Dainty and Ivory), Kel (Writings, Ramblings and Reviews), Jo (Listening Through the Forest), Leah (Peaches & Smoke) and Joanna (Fashionspiration)
