theBalm is easily one of my most top rated brands, with absolutely phenomenal pigmentation and colour pay-off, incredible longevity and flare for imaginative design and ideas, they're one brand everyone should have in their arsenal. For me, highlighters add a touch of something-something to your look that blushers and bronzers just can't do. Whether applied with a light hand over your brow bone, used to accentuate cheek bones or even on your cupids bow, a touch of highlight can make all the difference, and theBalm have highlighters down to a T.
Mary-Lou Manizer (BeautyChamber, £16) has been a favourite in my stash for quite some time now, easily my most used highlight and yet I've hardly dented it. The brilliant thing about theBalm highlighters, is that less is more. There's no grainy, shimmery powder that needs to be built up for any long-lasting colour, but a dreamy, and I mean dreamy, buttery soft powder formula that applies effortlessly, blends beautifully and boy does it last. The shimmer is incredibly fine, not feeling out of place in the powder and looks stunning rather than over the top, on the skin. Mary-Lou Manizer is you're more bog-standard shade of highlighter; a golden yellow highlight that's both eye-catching and subtle at the same time. Used for everything from my cheekbones to cupids bow, brow bone and inner corner, a pop of colour on a natural base to open up my eyes. Betty-Lou Manizer (BeautyChamber, £16) is perfect for anyone with a more olive complexion or darker, like me. A bronzed highlight that is far more wearable than it looks in the pan, this beauty is absolutely perfect for a hot summer's day and creating that bronzed goddess look. Cheek-bones, doubling up as an eyeshadow or even a super light dusting over my decolletage, Betty-Lou ticks all the boxes. Cindy-Lou Manizer (BeautyChamber*, £16) is the newest highlighter to join theBalm family, and gosh is it beautiful. I've been looking for 'that perfect' pink toned highlight for a long, long time. Cindy-Lou Manizer is a stunning peachy pink that can be used as blush as well as a highlight, pink enough to catch the light in all the right places, peachy enough to still look natural.
What I love about theBalm, is how multi-purpose their products are. Each of these can be used as an eyeshadow as well as a highlight, with Betty-Lou doubling up as a bronzer as well as highlight, and Cindy-Lou making the perfect blush, too. Multi-purpose products are a must-have for me, and when they're this beautiful, with such fun, unique and quirky packaging, a flare for original ideas and original product names, theBalm is a brand everyone needs to try, starting with Mary-Lou, Betty-Lou and Cindy-Lou...
