The Sunday post # 11

The Sunday post # 11
What a lovely week it has been. Glorious sunshine, warm days and an excuse to wear some of my Summer wardrobe without having to wrap up warm. Bliss. It's been a busy week here in the Tattooed Tealady house, with our new corner sofa being delivered, lots of changing and moving around furniture in the house and finally feeling happy with my makeup set-up. Once everything is just how I like it, I'll be sharing a few more home posts and a little home tour (I know I keep saying that, but I will!) It's crazy how long it takes to set up a new home, but now our sofa is here it really feels like 'home'. Today has been bliss, with friends over in the morning for a good home cooked breakfast, and family over this afternoon. I've had to resist the urge for several naps, and I've been super productive with the perfect amount of laziness. Perfect Sunday, accomplished.

Earlier in the week I made a trip to London, for a lovely evening with Birchbox, Benefit and the incredible Lulu Guiness to celebrate the March Birchbox, which is a collaboration with Lulu. I was pretty nervous on my way to the event, as I'm not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to fashion, but Lulu Guiness and her gorgeous accessories are something I have been a fan of for a good few years now. I truly adore the bold, statement and quirky pieces, everything stands out and catches my eye. Getting to meet Lulu in person was very surreal, but such a pleasure and an honour. To find out more about the Birchbox and Lulu Guiness collaboration you can go to www.birchbox.co.uk, where you can subscribe for just £5 for your first box using my discount code. Just enter BBXBloggers at checkout! and I'll be posting my full review of the box very soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that!

There's been a few behind the scenes dabbling in outfit posts over the past week, with a few maybe sneaking their way onto the blog in the next week or so... I'm relying on my tripod for outfit photos, so I'm sure it's something I'll have to practice, like how to pose more naturally! The dress I'm wearing in the photo above is an absolutely stunning Floral Embellished Pretty Skater Dress (ASOS*, £75) and I'm head over heels for it. It'll be the perfect dress for summer events or a wedding. The fit is lovely and the attention to detail is incredible. I am really excited, but also nervous, about sharing more outfit posts on the blog as it's still not something I'm 100% comfortable with, but hopefully now I have my tripod and it'll just be me posing on my own, it'll be easier to do and fashion will be a more regular feature!

This week I have a 14 posts ready and waiting to go live, with a post every morning and every evening. There's going to be a huge variety of beauty, fashion, life and home posts. I'm also off to London again this week, to learn more about a brand who produces healthy, affordable food. I'm also going to up the exercise this week, so expect another weight loss journey update soon! What do you have planned for next week? Did you do anything fun this weekend? How's your week been? Let me know!

  2. Ordered Birchbox. And here I was, thinking I'd go one month without a subscription. I tried Love me Beauty and Glossybox, neither of which was especially impressive, but now I'm really curious.

My week's looking pretty busy, with deadlines looming over the horizon, and with me being sick over the weekend, I'm in definite need of some me time. Thankfully, I'm taking tonight off, and I'll try to recharge the batteries as much as I can before the ball starts rolling.

Great post. I'm looking forward to more sunny days, if only to wear a pretty dress or to go outside.
