Spring collections always excite me, with beautiful colour themes, pretty names and stunning designs. With Bobbi Brown being one of my top brands, I was excited to try the Nectar & Nude collection, with colours perfect for Spring. With everything from apricot nectars to fresh pink corals, the perfect amount of shimmer and a palette set to steal your beauty adorers heart, this is one collection that will be hard to resist. With the whole collection being limited edition, this is one you need to snap up quick!
The star piece of the collection, the Nectar & Nude Eye Palette (HouseofFraser*, £37.50) is a beautiful palette featuring six versatile and wearable shades. Pale Cream starts of the palette, working well as a base or subtle highlight in the inner corner, a lovely matte shade. Next up, Soft Buff is also matte, which I am smitten with, a warmer nude with hints of taupe that works perfectly as an all over wash of colour. Reaching the middle of palette the we have shades with a touch of glamour, with Golden Bronze, a metallic shade which has the perfect mix of bronze and gold, I see this being a favourite shade on warmer days, as well as Pink Bellini has a sparkle finish and works perfectly for a pop of colour. The final two shades in the palette are the perfect finishing touches, both matte, both perfect for a variety of looks, with a bit more oomph. Earth is the perfect nude with warmth that would work well over the lid, or worked through the crease for a soft smokey eye. For more intensity, Rich Caviar is perfect, a very warm, deep brown that has a touch of chocolate to it. Beautiful. Bobbi Brown shadows have fantastic formulas, buttery soft, no fall out and phenomenal colour pay-off and longevity. The palette also comes with a dual-ended brush, which is super exciting as for me, Bobbi Brown is the best of the best for makeup brushes. The perfect neutral palette for Spring? I think so!
Giving both your cheeks and lips a perfect pop of coral, we have the stunning Hibiscus Pot Rouge for Lips & Cheeks (HouseofFraser*, £19), a new and limited edition shade that has left me smitten. The Bobbi Brown Pot Rouges have been on my lust-list for a good while, since having them used on me during makeup lessons at my local Bobbi Brown counter. Bobbi Brown was inspired to create the Pot Rouges, by the memories of her grandmother who would multi-task using lipsticks as a blush, too. I love a multi-purpose product and the perfect creamy formula makes application effortless. The shade is incredible, the most perfect coral you ever did see.
Onto lips and we have three new and limited edition shades and the most dreamy formula for a gloss, ever. Starting with my favourite and one I simply cannot put down, Nectar Lip Gloss (JohnLewis*, £18) which is the perfect in-between of a pink and coral. Lovely worn alone, even more perfect above a nude or peachy lip. Nude Pink Lip Gloss (JohnLewis*, £18) is just as pretty, a soft and delicate pink. For a touch of shimmer, Bare Peach High Shimmer Lip Gloss (JohnLewis*, £18) fits the bill perfectly, with a dazzling, light-catching shimmer which peachy-pink fine shimmer. The formula of Bobbi Brown glosses means they are some of my favourite to reach for; non-sticky, perfect shine and very comfortable on the lips.
Last but not least, nails. I adore Bobbi Brown for nail polishes and although each shade I have so far has been limited edition, they are bringing out more and more shades and I hope these will become permanent products. They apply effortlessly with a streak free formula, remain chip free for a week with no problems and just have the most gorgeous shades. For the Nectar & Nude collection, two new limited edition shades have been created. Nectar Nail Polish (Bobbi Brown*, £11) is heavenly, the perfect match for Hibicus and looks even better with Bare Peach Glitter Nail Polish (Selfridges*, £11) on top. My current nail combo, and one I think is set to stay through the warmer months.
