The mid-week pamper #1

REN Moroccan Rose Otto Bath Oil

Growing up, pampering was always reserved for weekends. Now that I'm older (officially 26 this year!) I find myself gravitating towards an extra pamper mid-week. No longer is a weekend pamper enough, a mid-week pamper acts as a mid-week pick me up and gives me that little boost I need. A good pamper can do the world of good and I'll take any excuse to get my more luxurious products out. As luck would have it, it's the first day of a brand new year (happy new year!), which makes today the perfect excuse for a pamper, and an indulgent one at that - and a new feature. Welcome to the mid-week pamper...

REN Moroccan Rose Otto Bath Oil* (REN*, 110ml, £30Have you ever received a gift and been completely overwhelmed? That's how I felt at Christmas when I received this personalised REN Moroccan Rose Otto Bath Oil. Moroccan Rose Otto range is one of my favourite REN scents, with an exquisite floral and deliciously sweet scent that calms and soothes the mind. With a slightly stronger scent than the body wash, this bath oil is packed full of incredible ingredients which make it that touch more potent - and in a dream beauty product kind of way. Unsurprisingly, there's Rose Otto Oil which is a very popular ingredient not just for it's nourishing properties, but for the lovely, rose floral scent it carries. Rose Otto Oil is the essential oil extracted from rose petals and one of the most popular essential oils used today, despite it's high price. Next up we have Palmarosa Oil which is another rose like fragrance commonly used in beauty products world over, known for it's moisturising properties. Finally there's Geranium Oil, another floral oil with moisturising properties, a wonderful theme in this extravagant oil, which depending on where it's grown and how it's cultivated can range in scent from rose to citrus, even coconut. All of REN's products are free of nasty ingredients such as Parabens, Sulphates and Mineral Oil, suitable for even the most sensitive of skin types, cruelty free and vegetarian and vegan friendly. The stunning fragrance which accompanies this bath oil is also 100% natural, with no synthetic fragrance in sight. Just how I like my products!

Bath oils are always treated as little luxuries by me, a step up from the usual bath bomb and a little bit more sophisticated. A couple of drops in running water will create a bath time like no other. Perfect for just before bed, REN's offering will leave you feeling instantly relaxed, soothed and calmed, putting both your body and mind at ease. A hot bath, a good book and a few drops of this will leave you in Rose Otto heaven with a scent that lingers and provides super soft skin. There's no greasy or oily residue left on your skin nor in the bath, with the bio-active ingredients working to soften and nourish your skin both in the bath, and after. I'm smitten, this will easily be a regular Wednesday night pamper feature for quite some time to come. Looking for extravagance? This is it.
