Phyto 9 Ultra Nourishing Cream

Phyto 9 Daily Ultra Nourishing Botanical Cream

The Phyto 9 Daily Ultra Nourishing Botanical Cream (LookFantastic, 50ml, £14.50) has been in my stash for quite a while, so long in fact it seems to have been completely repackaged. Yet it's only recently I've started using it on a daily basis and found I really quite like it. As the name would suggest, this is suitable for daily use and is best targeted at anyone with dehydrated, dry or damaged hair. An after-washing treatment, you apply this to your hair whilst your hair is towel tried, evenly distributing product from mid-lengths to ends just as you would a styling product. About a large 5p sized amount is more than enough for my hair, which is shoulder length, as the cream has a lovely consistency and can be easily evenly distributed. There's a fab formula which combines Macadamia Oil along with plant extracts, which work to provide instant, long-lasting nourishment. Then there's Soybean, Claendula Burdock and Plant Mucilage which penetrate the core of each strand of hair, giving Keratin levels a boost.

It's a really hydrating product that dry or lackluster hair will lap up - but I'd say this was easily suitable for all hair types, even those who have naturally oily hair like myself. My hair is in pretty good condition, I pamper it frequently and use a ridiculous amount of products to keep it happy. But this cream goes that one step further. This softens my hair, from root to tip, so even those pesky (and thankfully rare) split ends are barely visible. The consistency is so light-weight that it barely feels like I've applied product, which means the longevity of my style is better as it doesn't weigh my hair down or add any unwanted grease - something most products do to my naturally fine hair. I use this whether blow-drying and straightening my hair, or leaving it to naturally dry, and either way it leaves my hair just as lovely, soft and feeling very healthy. As I have only just started the tube, I hope the new packaging doesn't mean a new formula, because if I fall in love with this as much as I think I will, I'll be so disappointed to find the formula has changed! If you've tried this version and the newly packaged cream, let me know if you think there's a difference. And if you happen to spot this on your travels, pick it up and give it a try. I bet you love it just as much as me!
